PSG offers services to people with communication disorders and to those who want to enhance their public and professional speaking skills. Our staff can also work with individuals who would like to reduce their accented speech so that they speak more clearly in standard English.

History

Established in 2008.

The SLP staff have over 35 years of experience in the field of speech-​language pathology, serving both child and adult populations. Our accent modification trainers hold certificates from the Compton P-​ESL training.

Meet the Business Owner

Ann-​Mari P.

Business Owner

Ann-​Mari has had extensive experience in adult neurogenics, doing clinical work in the inpatient/​outpatient acute rehab environment focusing on articulation, language, swallowing and cognitive-​communication disorders. She also has knowledge and experience in working in private practice and schools with children in the areas of articulation and language-​based impairments. She is Compton P-​ESL certified by the Institute of Language and Phonology to provide training for accent modification. Ann-​Mari received a B.A. in communications from George Washington University and a M.S. in speech-​language pathology from University of the District of Columbia in 1997. Ann-​Mari is the recipient of the 2009 ASHA Ace Award and is the associate director of clinical issues in speech-​language pathology at the American Speech-​Language-​Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds the ASHA certificate of clinical competence and is licensed in DC and the state of Virginia.
