Rckndy doesn’t just look good– they’re also good at what they do. It’s great to have a neighborhood store that believes in client service, consultation and quality products they stand behind. From advise on décor to early deliveries– the shopping experience reminds us why despite the proliferation of online shopping, you still cannot substitute a great bricks and mortar store with great customer service. Thanks for all your help getting my Gus sofa!!! (it fits perfectly and arrived ahead of schedule!)

This is an interesting and somewhat fun furnishings store. It’s a smallish place, but bright with a clean, modern look and comfortably cluttered with goods. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Most of what’s for sale has a throwback look to it, maybe with the ‘40s and ‘50s in mind. There also seemed to be numerous fabric options to choose from to cover any of the furniture.

I like this store, really interesting things (although super expensive). I bought a gus modern sofa from here shortly after it opened, so it’s been just a little over a year and the $ 2000 sofa is falling apart! I’m really disappointed in that — I feel this store should sell higher quality stuff it’s going to cost so much.

This home furnishing store sells some interesting things, but it looks like they carry very little stock. I was excited to check it out, but completely underwhelmed by the lack of stuff, the messiness of the storefront, and the drab atmosphere.
It’s better to come here if you know exactly what you want/​need, but not a good place to browse.

Modern furniture with a fair number of funky pieces… and some more sober pieces as well.
I was lucky enough to find a great Blu Dot couch here. They do carry a number of Blu Dot pieces.
The salesperson was VERY helpful and friendly — non-​pretentious.
Definitely give it a try — its a little hit or miss but you may get lucky like me.
I’m a fan and will be back.

A contemporary housewares and furniture store stocking Blu Dot, Gus Modern, DwellStudio and other staples of modern design in the ‘aughts.
David (the owner) is wonderful; helpful and yet graceful when one demurs either aid or a purchase. Just tell him what you need (and your budget) and he’ll ensure you find what you were looking for.
A note: while they carry an extensive array of products, much more is available to order; consult with the store before settling, if you don’t quite see what you want on the floor.

Super fun shop if you are looking for modern pieces. I have no need for furniture so I didn’t pay attention to these items in the store. I noticed clocks by Umbra, toothpick holders that looked like rabbits, great pillows, and some fun rugs too. It’s on the pricier side. Though, you’ll find some great stuff that might be worth a little extra splurge (For example, who needs to be a duster for $ 18!!! Then again, you might want it if you saw that it looked like a cute little bunny rabbit). If your style is «Domino magazine-​ish» I think you’ll dig this place. Reminds me a bit of Tabletop in Dupont (except I think the folks at Tabletop seemed friendlier).

I’ve been sleeping on my AmericanLeather sleeper sofa that I bought at this store for the past week. I bought it because I was looking for a stylish sofa but also one that could convert to a bed for guests. Aside from being the most comfortable sleeper sofa I’ve ever slept on (and I’ve slept on a lot), the best feature is that the upper cushions zip to the top of the couch so when my cats sit on them, they don’t collapse. It makes the sofa always look nice. Oh, and it comes in a variety of colors and fabrics, too. I chose red microsuade and think it gives the room a lot of personality, contrasting nicely with the charcoal gray walls.

I came in here just to browse and almost bought a $ 2,000 couch. This place has so many cute things, we ended up being in there for about 45 minutes. It has kitschy and classy things, so there is truly something for everyone. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’ve just moved or would like to spice up your apartment. I saw a lamp in the shape of a person, and a little penis was the on-​off switch. But then I also saw adorable cat and dog bowls. The clocks here are also very unique — they have one of those projector jobs that look so space age. Also, the sales guy is very nice and informative without being pushy.

I bought the «mustachio mirror» here this past weekend. It’s basically a mirror with a mustache cut out in the middle. I couldn’t resist.
It was the last one in the store, so they pulled it off of the wall and gave me a 10% discount. Oh yess. Picture to follow.
My friend bought the one with the cutout of a little songbird singing.
The store is pretty expensive, but it’s got some really cute and unique things in there that would make great gifts. If you don’t buy anything, it’s at least fun to look around.

fabulous spot for both gifts & ideas for your home. Great decore & furniture, and while on the expensive side, their sale shelf truly rocks.
I love the bubblegum pink shelf w/​the jars of candy behind the cashier and the staff are very friendly & helpful. My roommate bought these amazing cups with different nose’s on each of them for a party we recently threw and they were a huge hit. Everyone should use «Pick your nose» cups at their next function!

This store is has lots of super cute home furnishings but not much I would probably buy. But they do have that same coffee table that I saw at tabletop… hmm. It’s the place to buy things if you have an eye for modern design.

This store rocks. Hahaha. Awesome selection of home décor and furniture. Very urban and chic. Some of the prices are a little on the high end ($ 78 for a night light) but the products they carry seem very well made and unique. So if you’ve got the money it’s worth it. Also the woman that helped me was so nice and helpful (not pushy or salesy at all), printed out a bunch of spec sheets for a couch I was admiring.

«sweet décor» is right! rckndy is a delicious mix of mod home furnishings, brightly colored and gorgeously designed homegoods, and unusual gifts for the urban nester. a personal fave: the bob’s yer uncle plates and placemats designed by my former neighbors in boston’s fort point — so nice to see them! plus wicked cool customizable furniture with enameled-​metal doors in different colors, among other delights-i-can’t-afford-but-like-to-visit. the best thing in there is a $ 2K-​plus vintage subway bench — complete with racks and vinyl seats on two sides. plus the incredibly nice sales-​guy handed us real rock candy on the way out. sweet indeed.
