I used to go to this place all the time until the delivery driver yelled at me and was very rude. I stepped out of the room without my phone and by the time I returned I had just missed his call. Totally understandable right? I returned his phone call as soon as I could and he told me in a very forceful way that he was outside waiting. I walk downstair and hailed him, where upon he slammed the door and started cussing at me. I told him to keep the food and that I refused to pay. I have never been back there since. I go to Chen Sunny’s, they are always friendly and give you a free drink.

The food was decent, the delivery took 40 minutes and it was ordered around 2 pm. They also gave us two small rice orders and we ordered 4 meals that needed rice. I called to ask for the other rice and it’s been 20 minutes, no rice. Won’t order from here again. Correction– the rice showed up 22 minutes after the food. And no fortune cookies!

We ordered some carryout from Rhode Island Express at work, hoping to find a new Chinese place to try. Unfortunately Rhode Island Express fell short. We ordered the chicken fried rice, yong chow fried rice, dumplings and chicken egg foo young. The delivery was quick and swift, so props on that. Though I asked the order to be delivered at 12:30(as I have a meeting until then), but the delivery person showed up 5 minutes to 12. I had to leave in the middle of my meeting to pick up the food. The food quality was below average for all four dishes. The chicken fried rice was dry, hard, and lack of any flavor. The yong chow fried rice was the same — the rice was solid rock(this was 10 min after we got the food). The dumplings dough was thick, with a very generic pork meat in the middle, and the chicken egg food young had too much onions, with ground chicken sprinkled here and there. Their prices are about the same as your normal DC Chinese take-out place, but the food was flavorless. We wouldn’t order again.
