I worked with Rob for nearly 2 years searching for the perfect property to buy in DC. My list of requirements for my future home was quite difficult to meet, but Rob worked closely with me to find just the right properties. At every turn, he warned me off properties that didn’t fit my needs and desires, told me about issues he saw with the property and neighborhood, and truly at all times kept my best interests in mind. I never felt pressured in any way to move forward, and Rob was exceptionally knowledgeable about not only various parts of DC, but also the myriad concerns that go into purchasing a property. He was always responsive and held my hand through the whole process (and through multiple offers) and I am finally (and happily) in my first home thanks to Rob!

We cannot say enough great things about Rob. He is exceptionally professional. He was able to accurately predict what was over– or under-​priced and was able to quickly spot potential issues during walk-​throughs. I have worked with Rob on three separate transactions however on our most recent transaction, my wife was a first time buyer. He walked her through the various steps of the process and answered all of her many questions. We worked with Andrea Paro from Rob’s group, and she was AMAZING through every step of the process!
We were first time home buyers so we had no idea what we were doing, and Andrea explained everything to us and gave us all of our options. We started looking in January and didn’t end up putting in an offer until April, so she was very patient and didn’t every pressure us into anything. Even better, when we foolishly in love with an adorable bungalow with serious foundation problems she gave us honest advice that led us towards not buying the place, which was good because it would have been $ 30k to fix those problems and we found a MUCH better house that we LOVE!
Andrea has experience in competitive bidding situations and helped us to outbid 5 other people for a house without having to pay an arm and a leg by knowing other ways to make our offer competitive.
Andrea also recommended a lender and home inspector to us, both of which worked very had to get last-​minute things done to help us put in a competitive offer.
We had some hangups and problems with the other agents we dealt with but Andrea was always there to advocate for us and get things done.
Andrea also answers all emails very quickly, 24/​7, which we really appreciated!

I can’t recommend Rob enough.
We used Rob twice — first to buy our first home. Most recently, to sell and buy a new place.
He got us substantially more than the original asking price, while working very hard to get us our new home — all within one week!
He really knows the market and is a tough, but fair negotiator.
He was available at all times throughout the entire process and despite having many clients, we always felt like his top priority.
Buying/​selling a home is as stressful as it gets — but Rob made the whole process as smooth and stress free as possible.
He is especially good at knowing where the mines are buried so to speak, knowing what questions to ask and avoiding potential problems.
If you’re looking for an agent who will put your best interests first and is fully committed to getting you the best deal possible in a timely manner with a minimum amount of drama, you must hire Rob.

Rob was referred to us through a co-​worker from my wife’s workplace. We were purchasing our first home and quite honestly had no idea how to approach it. We needed someone who was honest, professional, knowledgeable and was willing to hold our hands through the entire process. It’s challenging to put in writing how much Rob exceeded our expectations in every possible way.
Right from the get go, he was responsive — he returns calls and emails very quickly. If he doesn’t have the information you’re looking for handy, he follows up and finds answers.
He’s honest — he puts the client before himself. Example: In a tough period where we were really questioning our ability to afford a home, Rob challenged us and suggested maybe we needed to continue renting. At that point I knew he had no skin in the game — he put more value on our interests than he did in closing commission with us as his clients.
Another example: In a tough situation where we wanted a property and had the opportunity to grab it if we were willing to bring a higher offer to the table, Rob suggested we withdraw as he felt the property wasn’t worth the value. Again — no skin in the game. We could have finished up right then and there but he had our best interests in mind.
He’s a great negotiator and great to work with — in communications with other agents during our inquiries of properties, I noticed how they repeatedly said they would love the chance to work with him. He writes great contracts and is super detail-​oriented — he always seems one step ahead of the game.
I’ve documented that Rob is an awesome realtor, but what really makes him special is that he’s a great person. I honestly have to say our lives are better for having the chance to get to know Rob and working with him to purchase our home. We closed at the end of April, and I have to admit as much as I did not like searching for homes, I’ll miss the chance of getting to go house hunting with him.

Rob was an excellent agent throughout my home buying process. I was new to the DC area and unaware of the particulars involved with real estate in the area, particularly as it relates to offfers, bidding wars, etc. The process was distinctly different than what I had previously experience in FL. Rob was very patient throughout the year was worked together as my needs/​desires were very specific and I wasn’t willing to settle. I wanted to «fall in love with my new condo» — and eventually I did when I found the right place. Rob is very knowledgeable of the market and the pros/​cons of various communities and buildings. He definitley had my best interests at heart. I was very pleased with the process and felt like I had an advocate in Rob and was quite comfortable with what could have been a daunting and difficult process. I would definitley recommend partnering with him.

The experience was a very positive one, from getting pre-​qualified for a mortgage through settlement. Rob’s familiarity with the market, and his ability to point out potential limits on appreciation, were most helpful. Highly recommend him.

As first time homebuyers my spouse and I were completely unaware of what it took to find, put in an offer, and close on a home. When we reached out to Rob at the start of our search he was extremely attentive and went out of his way to help us through the home buying process. Rob handled everything with grace and the highest degree of professionalism. He even ferried us from property to property on our schedule and gave his honest opinions about units. We just purchased a condo with Rob. He was honest and professional, and made us feel like he was truly on our side through the whole process. The developer we purchased from was a little difficult to work with, but Rob took care of everything and made us feel in charge of the situations that came up. We highly recommend him and will use him again in the future.

Rob helped us (first-​time home buyers) navigate the sellers’ market in the DC region for eight months. Although I can’t say we were the easiest clients – we seemed to have a knack for picking the most popular properties – Rob was unwavering in his responsiveness and dedication to finding us our new home. As first-​time home buyers who had never worked with a real estate professional before, I’m not sure we can truly appreciate how fantastic Rob’s professionalism is.
