Sooooo bad. Worst food we’ve ever had. Ordered the chicken Alfredo… Barely any chicken, and barely any sauce. It was essentially pasta with butter, and by the time it did get to us it was cold and hard. So bad, I wish I could get my money back actually. Avoid like the plague.

I don’t understand how this place has a decent rating. If I could give zero stars, I would! Worst food I have ever had! we ordered a Rome burger with fries, a supreme pizza, and a BBQ chicken pizza for delivery. The burger bun had MOLD on it! The burger itself was very dry. I had to stop eating the pizza because the crust was so tough it was hurting my mouth to chew. Overall there wasn’t any flavor to anything. Couldn’t taste pepperoni even though it was clearly on the pizza. The only decent things were the french fries and the delivery driver was extremely kind. Never eating here again.

Worrst food I have ever had. I waited forever for my steak and cheese and onion rings. First of all the steak wasn’t ribeye… more like steakums… second of all the onion rings were not REAL onion rings… will never order from here again.

Just moved to Chevy Chase from NY and we were so glad to find this place. We were looking for something cheap, filling and available for delivery. This place totally fit the bill. Nice flavor, crispy crust, didn’t love the flavor of the dough(but I think that’s a regional thing). Also, delivery arrived exactly when expected, and came right to our apartment door– I expected that we would need to come down to the lobby. Will definitely be ordering from them again!

I have lived in dc for years and I am just now discovering this place! The menu has everything you want if you’re looking for a kind of ‘mom and pop’ style pizza and sub spot. The food I had was exactly what I wanted, it was delicious and filling. The folks inside were very pleasant(I got my food to go), and the prices were cheap(especially for the friendship heights area). The exterior is very un-assuming, and inside is as expected of a take out type place. I will absolutely be ordering from this place again… and again!

The pizza was doughy and the ingredients were not fresh tasting. The Mozzarella tasted cheap, like string cheese. The pizza looked great and was big. The price, for the size was good but it was no better than most frozen pizzas.

Certainly not as hip and trendy as the other pizza place very close but in my opinion Rome makes better Pizza. My guess it is cheaper as well but I do not recall.

I’ve eaten pizza at all the fancy pizza places in DC and finally realized that what I was missing was REAL pizza — the old fashioned kind I grew up with in NJ. I had seen the Rome Pizza & Subs while eating at Pete’s Pizza across the street and had wondered how Rome had survived, since Pete’s was always crowded and Rome’s was not. So, I got carry out pizza at Rome’s tonight — just cheese pizza with extra cheese. The aroma filled my car all the way home and I knew I had made the right choice. Although NOT as greasy and messy as NJ pizza(take that as a positive or negative), the taste was the same. And the nice woman who works there put the pizza back in the oven to warm up since I got caught in traffic and was a little late in picking it up. She did that without asking and with a smile. This is NOT the greatest pizza in the world but it is completely enjoyable and the 2 of us ate the entire large pizza because we just didn’t feel like stopping. So, yes, I heartily recommend it.

I love the food. We order online regularly. The owners recognize our order and we feel like our meals are prepared with special care. And — when one of the owners was recovering from surgery and couldn’t deliver, we happily travel for the food. We are BIG fans.

Worst customer service and very bad restaurant. Will never order from here. The lady that works at night who says she is the manager is pathetic. Can’t even be bothered to check ingredients to something she made me order as an alternative to something else she didn’t have. And was extremely rude and didn’t seem to care. Well neither do I. Lost my business today and in the future and I hope many readers business as well. First review I’ve ever posted online. That’s how worth it to me it is to see that this place due to this experience and lady get no business. Said her name was Maria but definitely BS. She seemed too scared to give me her name and she didn’t sound like a Maria!

I’ve heard conflicting reviews for this place. I’m a pretty big fan, though. They are great for late night, their pizzas are good(their crust seems like it’s multigrain). Their chicken is fantastic though, I am huge fan of their Chicken Italiano Sub as it has a great mix of tangy and savory and goes great with the Utz Chips they include. Repeat costumer.

It’s a nice spot. Good food, nice people, and good prices. Ravioli pasta, subs, burgers, fries, yes, all of the fatty unhealthy stuff. It’s good for you soul :)

I love this place. …clean, good food, good prices, hard working owners… and the upstairs can seat 40 so it’s a great location for a group get together!

Not life changing food but it’s solid; a great balance between quantity and quality with slight edge to quantity. Would come to again but not a must come to again spot.

I’m giving this place 5 stars based on three things I experienced today! Affordable hot and fresh made pizza, clean dining area upstairs and good customer service. I have to admit that I originally went to Pete’s across the street and after a bit of a wait with two antsy children, I needed a plan B. I open my Unilocal app and look for reviews for this place which is right across the street. The most recent reviews weren’t the best but I was in need of a quick solution and I found one. I trudged the wee ones across the street and went inside. Saw a man standing there eating a slice and asked how the pizza was and he said good but I should order a whole fresh pie! I looked at the prices and thought, yippee! I can get an XX18″ large cheese pie for 12.99?! Enough to bring some to my two dancers that I knew would be starving after a 4 hour class! I ordered the pizza and bought two cans of sprite($ 1.00/ea) and my total was just over 16 bucks, with tax! Now this place doesn’t have a gourmet name attached to it like Pete’s but the pizza was good! Comparing the two would be silly of me so I went into this place with the mindset that it is a neighborhood pizza joint. Cheap and no frills. The pizza was not too saucy and had a good amount of cheese! My two year old ate a slice and a half and her brothers crust, whereas when we go to Pete’s she will only eat a half slice.(See pics). We went upstairs and the gentleman behind the counter told me there was a tv up there and we could turn it on and if I wanted to I could get the remote and change the channel. I did! Found a cartoon for the kids and it kept them in their seats and entertained while they ate! This was a much better alternative to having them run around the studio! Less stress for me. The dining area was very clean and a lady brought our pizza upstairs with plates and utensils and was kind enough to bring the remote back downstairs for me. So, for me this was a gem because I’m in this area multiple times, every week trying to kill time with 2 small children while waiting for my other children to finish their activities. I will now create a pizza budget for this place and may even try other things on the menu. Will update accordingly but as of this visit, I’m happy and didn’t find one thing to complain about.
