Serv U Liquors

They had one huge bottle of Peach Ciroc that clearly NO ONE was purchasing. 75 $, which I expected.
Although I commend them on that one lonely bottle. but that was ALL the ciroc they had. NOTHING else. No coconut. No berry. Nada. Annoying.
The employee was not too friendly but not mean. You see pretty girls come in to your liquor store you flirt (respectfully) and make them think this is the best liquor they’re going to find in all of Washington DC. He didn’t do that.
When we walked in there was only one other person. Soon the place was packed. Very glad we walked in when we did. After debating and going over what he had we made our purchase and got out of there.
Not the slimiest of places. I wasn’t nervous even when it got crowded and that’s usually when I would get nervous. lol
As far as liquor stores go. it’s okay if you’re in the area. It was opening weekend for Peach Ciroc in DC though. so I’m assuming he felt he didn’t need to have any other Ciroc and definitively didn’t need a smaller size of that one.

Horrible customer service. Owner/​manager is constantly biting/​short/​in a bad mood. Doesn’t take AMEX (but theres an Amex logo on the machine). Some beer is in refrigerators which do not work at all. Extremely hot inside. Very slow.

The most RANDOM hole in the wall liquor store I’ve ever been to, Serv U gets three instead of two stars simply because of location.
Liquor prices are standard and they have essentially every basic you could need, though not a good top shelf selection. Want beer? Head elsewhere. Serv U has two refrigerators stocked with beer, soft drinks, and (sometimes) champagne, although I’ve never actually seen them turned on. I guess if you like formerly cold, stale beer, head to Serv U – otherwise, keep walking.
The staff is really nice and friendly and seem to know nearly everyone who walks in. Serv U is a decent neighborhood spot, but I really wish they had fresh beer!
