Ronald Simon was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 7, 1947. He graduated from Harvard University and Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts (1973), Rhode Island (1974) and the District of Columbia (1977). Mr. Simon is married and has two sons.
Throughout his career, Mr. Simon has practiced in toxic torts, class actions, medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, product liability, federal tort claims, governmental misconduct, and general negligence.
Mr. Simon has lived in Washington, D.C., for over 30 years and has been an active member of the community. He taught at the Washington College of Law at American University from 1979 to 1987. He is the General Counsel for the American Legion National Headquarters where he has tirelessly worked to increase veterans’ benefits, veterans’ employment opportunities, and the recognition of combat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
