Starbucks

Occasionally, the workers would get my drinks wrong.
But the place is nice and cozy, and sometimes a little cramp, of course it’s Starbucks!

The manager and staff here are amazing, I’ve been sitting here for 5 hours for the last 3 weekends and they are the nicest people. The manager has this place in order and you can tell the staff enjoy their job.

This is the best example of unsupervised mammals acting as employees. Starbucks needs to seriously revamp the staff at this store. I have never seen such a pathetic group of employees. They were actually telling customers they were «out of coffee» yesterday and simply taking orders and just not filling them. We had to remind them we ordered sandwiches 3x before they even put the sandwiches in the microwave. One employee took the trash out and simply left the un bagged trash cans sitting in the middle of the floor inside the place. Totally unbelievable that Starbucks can be this poor to hire such low level staff.

I like the location of this S’bucks (proximity to the playground is key for me!) but have had a couple bad experiences with the staff being rude or messing up my order or overcharging me (when I pointed out the over-​charge on my drink the other day, the barista didn’t believe me until I pointed out the price on the board right behind him… umm…). If you’re coming in with a stroller, it’s a bit of a pain to navigate around the line but other than that, there’s a good number of seats (usually occupied by 20’s and 30’s professionals typing away on their computers, so I guess if you plan on working from here, you might want to get here early-​ish.

I can’t believe I’m writing a review for Starbucks, Starbucks is terrible as is, it’s the McDonalds of coffee. This location has to be one of the worst that I’ve ever visited. No one who works here has anything resembling a personality, nor a desire to actually work it seems, and I swear to god they always put sugar free vanilla in my iced coffee, which makes me think that they think I’m fat or something. But yeah, in short, avoid this place.

All I can say is every previous reviewer was spot on with this Starbucks. I’m not a big fan in general, but this was right next to the hotel and I didn’t want to have hotel food and coffee so I came here. Really? The barista was a joke. He did not seem to be in the present moment if you know what I mean. All I wanted was a decaf, and it seemed like that was a difficult task. The woman who took my food order was so hard to understand. It sounded like she had tissues in her cheeks as her enunciation was so jumbled. I had to repeat my order 3 or 4 times and then I resorted to pointing at what I wanted by hitting the display case with my finger. They had what looked like a «sample» of one of their new breakfast sandwiches at the register, but it looked like someone’s left overs. The only takers that I saw was the barista man himself. Hilarious. This whole scene seemed like a skit on SNL. To top things off, when I was enjoying my coffee at the hotel, I started to feel a bit of anxiety. I immediately stopped drinking my coffee as I think it was fully leaded. Since I have been been caffeine free for 20 years, and really didn’t want a buzz, I poured the rest down the sink. Lesson learned.

Where to begin… I had to stay at the hotel next store. The first morning I went there, the cashier didn’t give me back the right change. The second morning was much worse. Not only did they forget my sandwich, they forgot my smoothie and I was waiting 15 minutes for it, and then they gave me the wrong pastry that I asked for. My friends frappé was also forgotten only she waited 40 MINUTES. We reminded them three times about her drink that she paid for. They did not apologize and have no order in their system. Avoid going to this starbucks at all cost, unless you want to spend your whole morning there.

Please provide your staff with more training. While I can’t stop my PSL addition, I can definitely stop coming to this Starbucks. The woman working the register couldn’t speak English, didn’t know any of the breakfast sandwiches (and there were no signs listing the options), couldn’t ring up our items, and didn’t know how to use a gift card as a payment. I think my 5-​minute coffee stop turned into a 20 minute endeavor… yikes.

Would love to have told you how are the new «Oprah Chai» stacked up against our stuff but I was abruptly confronted and ushered out upon walking in at 6:55 PM. I didn’t know they close at 7pm. I got the Bum’s Rush, son! There’s got to be a better way, SBUX. Maybe «We are closing so order fast, lady!» I could dig that.
