Specialties
STROGA offers a wide variety of yoga styles for all levels of practice. Spread out and relax in a studio capable that accommodates 80 students. Group classes, private lessons and specialty workshops are offered to students on both a walk-in and space-reserved basis.
Additionally STROGA takes fitness to the next level in our 4,500 sq ft functional training studio, providing ample space for group classes of 4 – 20 students or individual training sessions.
Utilizing the three planes of movement — front-to-back, side-to-side, rotational — functional training strengthens our everyday movements while increasing agility and endurance. It has been adopted by athletes of all levels, proving to help maximize athletic performance, and is seen by many as the future of fitness. Research shows better results using functional training over a standard cardiovascular machine or a circuit equipment work out by providing a higher average heart rate and 3x the calorie burn in a shorter period of time.
History
Established in 2009.
Doug Jefferies, founder of Results Gym, was inspired by his own yoga practice and his experiences in personal training and strength conditioning. His desire to combine the two philosophies resulted in the creation of STROGA. Both Functional Training and Yoga help people gain mobility and flexibility, increasing their performance in sports and making them more agile in everyday life.
The perfect space to house the STROGA concept was found at 1808 Adams Mill Road (the L’Aiglon Building) located at the junction of Columbia Road, Adams Mill and 18th Street. Dating back to the early 1900’s the building has a rich history as both a private residence and commercial property. The building’s fine woodwork, stained glass and plaster moldings were preserved by STROGA, maintaining the integrity of the space and creating a unique environment for your Yoga and strength training practice.
