We make sure our treats have a home baked feel, using only the freshest ingredients and baking everything from scratch. We never take short cuts by using cake mixes or ready-​made frostings because anything mass-​produced lacks the love that home-​style baking is known for.

From brownies and lemon bars, to various cupcakes, cheesecakes, pies, cookies and layered cakes, there is something for everyone! Call or just stop-​in. All orders are for pick-​up only.

History

Established in 2007.

Upon graduating from New York’s Institute of Culinary Education I returned to our family’s hometown of Amman, Jordan & with the help of my father & brother opened my very first Sugar Daddy’s in 2007. We franchised the same to Beirut & Dubai then opened The CakeRoom in DC as a sister company due to the name «Sugar Daddy’s» not being available.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, I attended boarding school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, then college at William and Mary with a degree in Marketing. I returned to Saudi Arabia to work in the brand management department of Unilever but was itching to get out and do my own thing. I always had a knack for baking so one day decided to hone my skills by attending Culinary School in New York City at the renowned Institute of Culinary Education. I then returned to my hometown of Amman, Jordan to open my very first bakery then later franchised to Beirut, Lebanon and Dubai. After having been in the region for 6 years I again got the travel bug and felt like I should move back to the US where I had spent my formative years. While having coffee with two of my friends and now business partners, I was encouraged to bring my small chain of shops to the US and so I decided on Washington, DC, as my first stop having gone to college just two hours south and having visited for years.
