Business Owner

Mr. O’Connell has been involved for more than thirty years as a principal in a wide variety of commercial transactions involving the structuring of mergers and acquisitions, banking, commodities, biotechnology, industrial joint ventures and real estate transactions. In developing his subject matter expertise in these areas of the law, Mr. O’Connell draws on the depth of his business experience and his extensive participation in the negotiation of complex multi-​tiered transactions. As an example of his atypical experience, Mr. O’Connell founded and served as General Counsel to a title settlement company which during its existence, effected the settlement of in excess of 1,000 commercial and residential transactions. Mr. O’Connell sold the title company to Brennan Title Company in August 2006. Mr. O’Connell continues to be actively involved in a Real Estate Investment Company which is developing real estate in the Washington D.C. area. Mr. O’Connell is a fourth generation Washingtonian.
