This is a DC spot that’s off the beaten path, but won’t take a huge amount of your precious vacation time and is really interesting if you have any interest in Ansel Adams or photography. Ansel Adams worked with The Wilderness Society and gifted them over fifty original photos which they have on display in their lobby for free for the public. It’s a very nice gallery worth seeing at least once and located right near the National Geographic location. I spent about 20 minutes viewing all the photos.

This is a gallery near the Nat Geo offices that we stumbled upon. Oh, about 50 signed Ansel Adams prints were on display when we were there. I don’t know if they rotate the displays. I love Ansel Adams and enjoyed the open, non-​pretentious atmosphere. It was a nice, free, and worth the effort to see.
The entrance is a bit hard to find. You have to go into the building and turn right to find this ‘library’.
