Triple B Fresh

A classmate of mine found this place and thought it was pretty good. He actually is Korean and figured if he liked it it must at least be pretty good. The set up here is pretty simple, it’s a quick assembly line type place that caters mostly to the lunch crowd looking for a quick takeout option. The bibimbap here is good, which is what my classmate had and then recommended, served in to go plastic ware. The kimbap is decent, but a little overpriced in my opinion. The seasonal specials look really good but I haven’t gotten any of them yet. The tacos are disappointing, just kind of slapped together and everything ends up just leaking through the tortilla.
Stick with the traditional dishes here, and when the weather’s nice head outside. If not, then grab it to go.

Best ramen I’ve ever had. I have the Sapporo Ramyeon with added meat, raw egg, and 1 vegetable (shiitake mushrooms). The only thing I would change is bringing my own egg and saving $ 2.

I think BBB is a unique concept, but is not ready for franchise level adoption. I am now on a bulgogi wrap conquest after having my first one from a food truck. I was expecting a similar experience at BBB. I got the bulgogi rice bowl with black rice. I would recommend paying the extra $ 2 for the stone bowl if you don’t want to eat a cold egg on top of your rice bowl. The bulgogi beef was a bit fattier than I am use to getting in traditional Korean restaurants. They ran out of sticky rice so they could not make us their version of Korean sushi with bulgogi. The ramen had a good broth base to it, but nothing more to write on that one. Two-​person counter struggled to handle the Saturday 8pm crowd, so I would not come here if in a rush.

I stopped by this place on my way home from New York. It’s clean, friendly, and has lots of options. I was the only person there the whole time I sat and ate my meal. I got the vegetarian stone bowl with tofu. It was decent. The ingredients were reasonably flavorful. But I would have expected more flavor from an almost $ 12 semi fast food place. It was ok, but not sure I’ll be rushing back.

This place was decent. I came here and got their original bibimbap to go. I liked the bulgogi (beef), and the flavors of the various veggie sides, but I thought that my egg was a little overcooked. The yolk didn’t run into the dish, which is the way I like it. The prices are comparable to other places in this area (~$ 10). My friend ordered a hot soup but didn’t really like the way they packaged it to go — it was put in a flimsy plastic bag, so it was hard to carry. If you’re dining in, that probably won’t be a problem, but for those that are thinking of carrying back to their place or an office, it may be a hassle.
The place didn’t look like it had a lot of seating, but when we went, there also weren’t that many people dining in. It looks to be more of a take-​out place.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place when we were walking around Dupont Circle.
This is one of the few korean food places in DC and I was very glad to find this place. Their bim bim bap was not the best I have ever tasted but I do really like the fact that you can choose your own ingredients. I also really appreciate the fact that the restaurant is very vegetarian friendly. My friend is a vegetarian and it’s so hard to find good places that have a variety of choices for her and this place gave her plenty of choices.

we were in a hotel and lazy and i was really craving korean food.
omg their bi bim bap was POINT ON. it was truly i can say amazing with tons of veggies and bulgogi and the hot rice and fried egg on top was perfect. and amazingly even by delivery it was very fresh and hot.
i had their mandoo too and it was good as well.
soo glad they delivered and so pleased with my meal hmmm

First fast food Korean place I have been to, and wish there was one closer to home. It’s like a Korean Moe’s, where you pick your dish then go down the line and say what you want in it.
I got the beef bulgogi bowl and it was plentiful and hit the spot. Also had the fried dumplings, which were good — especially considering the fast food style of the restaurant — but could have been more flavorful.
If I lived in DC and worked in this neighborhood, I’d be eating here alot.

The Weekend Special! Best deal ever. A little bit of this and that and you have an amazing box of comfort food.
$ 10.00 buys you three veggies of your choice, rice of your choice, one choice of meat, 3 pieces kimbap (veggie or classic) and 3 fried dumplings. Drool…

They don’t give you any banchans, but I approve of their food!
I don’t always love fusion Korean food, but this little place won my heart.
Always a great place to be when you are craving Korean food in the middle of dupont circle.
Their bibimbop portions are really generous, and I love the variety of veggies you can choose as your toppings. The eggs are always perfectly poached, and I feel super healthy eating here anytime. I loved everything I tried here, but I still recommend the bibimbop the most. For less than $ 10, you get a ton of veggies and meat and rice in a bowl, so how can you beat that?
The place is small and crowded, but they have an outdoor seating area, which is awesome during the summer days.

I came to town for the week and wanted something quick and tasty after a long flight from So Cal. I Unilocaled for open restaurants at Dupont Circle. Triple B Fresh came up with noodles, rolls, bowls, and all kinds of interesting things. It reminded me of some pan– asian spots in LA so I gave it a go and was not disappointed.
I loved the food line all set up like Chipotle with Banchan. They had four kinds of rice kept hot on steam tables and bagged to keep the rice moist. I had a bowl with multi grain rice, spicy chicken, house veggies, and a fried egg on top. Hot sauce and a kimchi roll on the side.
My only advice would be to make sure you eat there because by the time I got back to my place the food wasn’t very hot. Overall this is a very good restaurant. I’ll definitely come back.

I feel very happy because I felt like I discovered a real deal on dolsot bibimbap in the city. $ 11.95 for 7 toppings of veggies and spicy pork is amazing. Small little basement restaurant feeds my hungry soul that loves her gochujiang and marinated meats.
Sure, it is not authentic like the restaurants in the suburb, but it gets the job done at a very good price.
The kimbap was ok, but at $ 7 for ten pieces, it seems quite high. Taste was decent, but the dolsot bibimbap is real steal here.
Staff was friendly. One bathroom, small counter seating next to bathroom, two communal tables, no fountain water dispenser so you pretty much have to buy water here.
Thank you for being in DC and satisfying my dolsot bibimbap fix.

It’s a good quick fix for on the go but there’s also indoor seating.

This place is great. I have had 2 takeout meals from here now and both were fantastic. The bibimbap with spicy pork was so good that even though I had all intentions of saving some for my husband to taste, I just could not. The bulgogi sushi roll, although cheap is substantial and the tacos are great too. I wish we had triple b fresh in baltimore!

With Korean restaurants all over Northern Virginia, I have to say that I’ve been spoiled with bountiful amounts of delicious, high quality Korean eats. So when the prospect of a quick, Chipotle-​style assembly line Korean restaurant came up, I was pretty excited.
The food here is pretty good though not authentic or mind blowing. You do get plenty of variety and the number of possibilities are almost endless which is nice though. The main dishes themselves surround some kind of rice bowl with you picking and choosing from a spread of about two dozen toppings and a protein — spicy chicken, pork, beef, or teriyaki chicken. They also have «classic» dishes like bibimbap that come with everything pre-​built if you would rather avoid making too many decisions as well. In addition to that, they also have kimbap, Korean sushi-​like rice bowls, and mandu, pan fried dumplings.
I usually get the weekend special, a sort of sampler box with rice, a meat, a choice of four toppings, kimbap, and dumplings. Variety is the spice of life, no? Having tried a few varieties and variations, my protein pick would be the beef bulgogi. Spicy chicken has been very hit or miss so far, sometimes being crumbly, dry, and mealy, and other times being perfectly fine. None of the meats are highlights as they are batch cooked and kept over steam trays in lots of sauce rather than being truly fresh. The toppings are all pretty solid. The spicy radish and kale are my picks. The kimbap here are made fresh and solid in quality as are the dumplings.
Overall, Trible B Fresh doesn’t come near what you can get at a good Korean restaurant. It’s quick food that will get that Korean craving under control but that’s about it. That’s not to say it’s all mediocre. The prices for Dupont Circle are very reasonable. The Weekend Special runs about $ 10 and comes with plenty of food. Triple B also has a nice patio on street level while the interior on the basement level is clean and bright. Overall, come here for a quick Korean style meal, but don’t expect anything a real Korean restaurant, even a deli-​style quick sit down place, could offer.

This is quick service Korean food. If you’re looking for a change up from Shophouse in Dupont Circle, hurry up over here.
+ Bulgogi Dulsot (in hot pot) $ 11.95 — Yummy.
+ Bulgogi Roll «Kimbap» $ 6.95 — I wasn’t expecting much of this, but it pleasantly surprised me. Very good and filling.
— Tacos (3) $ 8.95 — I wasn’t a fan of this. As much as I love tacos, the Korean style ones don’t work for me yet.
The space is rather small on the inside, but there is outdoor seating. Such a shame we couldn’t sit outside on our visit, but at least we could embrace the good ol’ work of A/​C.
Either way, Triple B Fresh is fantastic if you are looking for what’s cheap and good.

If this were in Baltimore, I’d go here every single day!
I’ve never been to a bibimbap «fast food» kind of place. I got the standard bibimbap bowl (not in the stone bowl because I was in a hurry — but try it, it makes the rice crispier!) and split some kimbaap with a friend. Both were absolutely delicious. AND the price was so reasonable (esp for being in Dupont Circle). If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll *deifnitely* be eating here again.

I can’t believe I have never noticed this restaurant, as much as I frequent DuPont Circle. The location is awesome since it’s just a two minute walk from the metro. I describe this restaurant as a Korean version of Subway/​Chipotle, but way better!
The ambiance is great. It’s pretty casual indoors with hip hop dance music playing in the background to pump up the energy. There’s also outdoor seating available. I went for an early dinner, so there wasn’t a line and the service was great.
I ordered the Hot Bulgolgi Bibimbap and it was delicious! You get to pick your own rice, vegetables, and meat. Since I did order a hot bowl, it took about 10 minutes to warm up. But it was so worth it! I definitely recommend it if you’re not in a rush. The added crunch of the heated rice is what makes the dish. And the spicy sauce that came with the dish was so good! It wasn’t overbearingly spicy and the flavors actually complimented the dish quite well. I wish I had it bottled so I can eat it with everything. There was also a great selection of drinks, including a few varieties of bottled green tea.
I’d definitely visit this location again and try other menu items, like Korean-​style tacos. That seemed to be one of the more popular dishes. Overall, I think the food was great. It wasn’t the best bibimbap I’ve ever had, but the fact that I could personalize it myself made it pretty outstanding. Definitely my new go-​to place for a quick Korean fix!

Cute little asian/​vegetarian friendly spot in Dupont Circle. You can choose your own ingredients to make bibimbap, wraps, bowls, and my personal favorite Kimbap! (kind of like Korean sushi). Like other reviewers said, it’s Chipotle-​esq as you can customize your dish. I ordered the Kimbap Veggie Roll. There was only 1 guy working and he felt so bad since I waited too long and gave me 4 different Hi-​Chews! Definitely made the wait not so bad. Of course, I wasn’t hangry, so my inner monster was at bay.
Loved the flavors and freshness of my Kimbap. My friends enjoyed their bibimbap bowls. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather. Triple B Fresh has a nice location and affordable pricing on their food. I wouldn’t mind coming back!

Really fresh, quality ingredients. Deliciously marinaded proteins for a perfectly satisfying bowl of bibimbap. Hits the spot every time. Highly recommended!
Have yet to try the bulgogi tacos as I always gravitate towards the bowls, but next time I will!
