Sorry guys. The chicken alfredo was not tasty. The sauce tasted like it came out of a package, and the waiter confirmed the source. Good atmosphere though

I like it, don’t love it, but its definitely got a unique menu. They get really creative with their appetizers. As far as I’m concerned, most of them are really good too. They’re known for the deep dish pizza which they do pretty well. I feel like the size of the pizza has disappointed me a few times but it does taste good. There’s other options but they are nothing special compared to similar restaurants.

I just went today for lunch. They have good and pretty cheap steak. I really liked the rice pita. In addition, you can have $ 10 off on spot if you fill out their online survey!

Terrible experience. Short story: the worst waiter and service in 15 years! And the food is mediocre(but you cannot expect gorgeous Stuff here, right?) Long story: We went there with our tow daughters. Entered the place at 7:20 and ordered two burgers with from the kids menu, then a steak with salad. The waiter didn’t ask me how I’d like to have it cooked, which kind of salad(the choice was among House, and Caesar’s), and which choice of two sides(as from the menu). At 8:10 we were still waiting(the place was far from being packed). So I asked the waiter if there was some problem. He said no, that the steak takes time. I asked if he could start bringing the two burgers for my daughters. They arrived, and they were ok(small, minimalist, but ok). At 8:25 still no clue of the steak. At 8:30 I started to be really pissed off… At 8:40, the steak arrived, with a salad in the same plate. No other sides. I hate it in 5 min, then called the waiter, and asked him to please bring the menu. I showed him that the menu was saying«your choice of two sides, plus a salad, caesar’s or home». He said it was not his fault, and that I should not yell at him, that he was working there only for two weeks, blablabla. I was so angry that I talked to the manager. Never did that in more than 15 years that I came regularly to the US. She was actually very kind and she excused herself. She offered to cut the bill in half. Nice, but sorry, the experience was so bad that I decided to write this review nonetheless…

It’s right in the heart of M Street, and they have lunch specials. It’s Pizza Uno, so you know the score. It seems kind of small, but I didn’t really explore the area, so I’m not sure. The workers were friendly enough. It’s an easy spot to visit when in the Georgetown area. This is a fallback spot.

I have to say. I’m glad the Uno’s in Georgetown was open late because I was getting the hunger bug that night. This place had a full bar and a small dining area. Even though their feature menu option is the Chicago deep dish pizza, the menu included various pastas, burgers, steaks, salads, and even a selection of gluten-free entrees. I came with a friend and we were seated beside the window. For a late night meal with fewer customers around, it was fairly slow service. However, our server was mostly great and frequently checked up on us. I ordered chicken tenders and replaced the french fries with a side of brown rice. My friend ordered a Chicago deep dish pizza. It took about 25 minutes, but it was because the deep dish took the longest. It turns out, they were so used to putting fries on the side for the 5 large chicken tenders, they gave me the fries along with the brown rice. Hey, I guess that is a plus for an extra free side. Each order cost 12 bucks. As I expected, the chicken tenders were average and the brown rice was watery. BUT I did not realize that until later. It tasted SO good for the first ten bites. My friend liked his Chicago deep dish pizza all the way though. I personally didn’t think it looked like a legitimate Chicago deep dish. The filling and the crust looked wrong. Since my friend said it tasted great, then that is all that matters. I give them props for having a gluten-free selection on their menu. Also to be noted, they do not serve soups and salads late night. I tried to order a chicken salad. For the price I paid for my hunger satisfaction at the time, I would say this was an okay choice overall.

Unos is Unos, and this one is no exception. The best part about this one is it’s right on M street and if you have a window seat, it’s great people watching. Because of the older buildings and tighter quarters its a maze to get around, and you may have to dodge other patrons, wait staff, etc as you move around. The bathrooms are located in a weird part of the basement, but were clean. I enjoyed the gluten free cheese and tomato pizza and it was delicious! I also had a Caesar salad and am impressed by the wide array of items on their gluten free menu. Next time I’m back, I’ll try the chili. The service was a bit slow for how dead it was on the middle of a Saturday afternoon, that’s my only complaint.

Short story… Burnt pizza, bad service, and potential racist staff. I have never been told if my food comes out wrong again it WILLNOT be returned if it’s my fault your kitchen staff sucks) there was a whole series of events that took place a few months back during my visit and in a nutshell the service was poor and the manager looked like death I WILL never return not even to use the restroom.

So I have seen it in several places and I tempted to get my hubby in here for some lunch. The place reminded me of Cheers in a way. The pub and the décor must of been it. The lunch specials were pretty reasonable on the menupalooza menu. It is guaranteed to arrive at the table within 10 minutes. If not, it’s free! You can’t beat a soup or salad and a half sandwich starting from $ 7.99. I had a ceasar salad along with a turkey sandwich topped with mozzarella cheese and bacon. I wished I would have got the broccoli and cheddar soup. I had a bite of it from my husband’s bowl and it was delish. The pizza isn’t anything worth raving about. I actually had better pizza from the grocery stores and cooking it at home.

Let me start off by saying this is the first time I have never left a tip… well I actually left 8 cents involuntarily. Before you blast me for possibly blaming the waitress for things out of her control, let me tell you what happened. My wife and I ordered grilled chicken sandwiches. She asked that the spicy sauce be placed on the side. First problem: It took 35 minutes for the order to make it to the table. Place was not close to busy. When her sandwich was delivered the waitress immediately told her even though she ordered the sauce on the side, the cook put it on the sandwich anyway. My wife said she wanted it on the side. The waitress took the sandwich to the kitchen but quickly returned to say there is no reason to have the sauce on the side as it is not really spicy. My wife stated again she wanted it on the side. The waitress left again. Ten minutes later the hostess appears with the sandwich, with the sauce AND the other condiments that should have been ON the sandwich, on the side. She also said that there was no need to have the sauce on the side since it wasn’t spicy. Problem two: since when do the staff determine how an order should be placed? When the bill came it was $ 26.92. I gave the waitress $ 40 and she proceeded to make change at the table. All I got was $ 13.00. Short 8 cents. No offer to get the balance, no mention that she may not have change. Problem three: an assumption that shortchanging the customer is OK. The only reason I am giving two stars since the sandwich was decent.

Mini pizza was pretty bad, and I’ve had pizza in Chicago and this was not it Quesadilla was even worse, a quesadilla should be made from a tortilla, they used some type of thick flatbread and the cheese was sparse…

This was my first crack at Chicago style deep dish and it has some room for improvement. My GF is from Chicago so she always told glorious tales about the splendor and majesty of a true deep dish Chicago pizza. Uno’s pizza is a chain restaurants interpretation of that awe-inspiring dish. You simply can’t just xerox copy a Picasso and call it a work of art. The imitation does little service to the real deals true tastiness. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special either. The thing that I disliked most is that bar for some random reason gave me a Bud Light in a Stella Artois glass. Weird. It really showed this venues lack of attention to detail and consistency.

Came here because Morso was closed and we had already been walking for 1 mile and we were desperate. I am from Chicago so I am a bit of a snob when it comes to deep dish. What we got was not deep dish. The tomato sauce left much to be desired, and the crust was wrong, wrong, wrong. And who puts giant chunks of Italian sausage on a pizza?! They were UFO-sized. However, service was fast and friendly, and their raspberry colada was primo good, so there were other redeeming factors to this place. It was a tad loud inside, though, so be prepared for shouty-shouty times.

it was ok. we did take a little time reviewing the menu before coming to a chose of what we wanted to eat, but our waiter did take a bit of time coming back to re check if we were ready to order. food was ok — we had a deep dish pizza — dont really like the chunky sauce they use on the pizza and they were a little skimpy with the pepperoni. we ordered a regular size pie and there was 1 whole piece that did not have any pepperoni on it. crust was not cooked too crispy either. it was ok — between my husband & i did not even finish the whole pie. was just not that good. our daughter had a burger plain — it was ok she said. we did enjoy the wing appetizer which was offered with 3 different sauces, just wish they had been a bit more generous with the sauces… it was ok. of all the places there is around to eat, we would not chose this one again. place did not look too clean either.

Some of these reviews are quite ridiculous. Were you really expecting the best pizza of your live at the pizzeria version of Bennigan’s? Give me a break. The AM bar manager was quite friendly and provided really good service. Good happy hour deals.

While I do enjoy Uno’s when I’m in the mood for junk, I realize too much of this stuff will kill me. Uno’s unique deep-dish style of crust is the perfect foundation for Spinoccoli(my attempt to be healthy) and Pizza Skins(my attempt to die faster). You could taste the butter oozing out of the crust. I like that. They used to serve Apple Pie a la mode in a mug, which I think is genius. In a freakin’ mug! So your pie crust and your apples and your ice cream are all gooey, huggy buddies. It was so good, I want to eat everything out of a mug. In conclusion, there are plenty of places in DC to enjoy pizza without jeopardizing your health, but when you want to be a bad ass, go to Uno’s!

So, I learned a valuable lesson last night. I got a blackberry last year so I could make those important on-the-spot decisions with the help from Unilocal. Last night I failed. Epically. The Good: pizza was not horrible. I’ve had better at other Uno’s and Duo in Chicago(well, that should be expected, i guess) The Bad: My fiancé’s house white wine was so repulsive that it needed to be sent back(only time she has ever done this). The Ugly: Flies. Lots of little fruit flies. These flies were the kind that hatch out of rotten fruits and vegetables(uh… shudder). And even more ugly that that, you ask? The manager said, «well, it’s impossible to keep out all bugs in the summertime.» It’s October kids, and F-ing cold. Not to mention no other G-town restaurant is infested with hundreds of flies. As we sat there swatting our way through our meal, we noticed a few other people sending their food back because the pasta was not cooked. How in God’s green earth can you mess up PASTA!?! Lesson: 1) Always check Unilocal 2) Sometimes chains are not a «safe bet» 3) Always check Unilocal

How in the Blue Hell a Pizzeria Uno continues to sit on the most lucrative block in the entire city is beyond me. Literally, I cannot fathom it. It’s like you asked me to explain antimatter theory or the meaning of life. If you couldn’t tell, yes, this place kind of sucks. It’s a chain restaurant from a franchise that has gone down the crapper since expanding. When I was there, nobody in the entire place was even eating pizza. Their ‘bar’ layout is moronic; you have to turn around to view their TVs. Servers are either creepy or 15 years old. Somehow, this Uno’s food is worse than all the other Unos I’ve been too. There’s no reason to ever go in here with some many other places Georgetown to eat. I have no idea what I was doing and I’d like someone to come over here, kick me in the nuts, and yell at me for going here so I learn my lesson.

Um… as a Chicagoan, I must say, this was embarrassing. Chili — BAD! Deep Dish Pizza — Even worse. Iced Tea — Gross. Are we coming back? Never.
