Meet the Business Owner

Ricardo V.

Business Owner

Ricardo Villalba was born in Asuncion, Paraguay. He moved to the United States at the age of 14 and since then has worked as a lifeguard, youth counselor and advocate, construction contractor, Real Estate Broker, graphic and web designer, comedian and most recently as a car salesman. In 1999, he attended the New York Film Academy. It was a childhood dream of Ricardo’s to make movies and tell stories, and while living in New York City, Ricardo found a new love, stand-​up comedy. After making a living as a stand-​up comedian for a few years, Ricardo moved back to the Washington D.C. area. He produced and hosted the D.C. Latino Comedy Showcase, bringing Latino comedians and friends to the nation’s capital and entertaining Washingtonians with a different point-​of-​view. While working for Ford Motor Company as a salesman, he met Christopher Schrack and they have been working together ever since. In early 2011 they founded the production company LW Films LLC now Washington Digital Media LLC.
