He first joined the Marine Corps. for a 6-year enlistment, during which he was promoted to Sergeant and served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He took an entry-level position at a trucking company before deciding to take a risk and use the money he had in savings to pay for a semester of college before his Veteran’s Administration benefits could kick in.

Mr. Campbell completed his A.S. at Kishwaukee College in one year, then transferred to Southern Illinois University where he earned his B.S. in Management Information Systems, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Campbell intended to pursue dual Graduate Degree until he received an invitation from Rutgers Law Camden. Mr. Campbell was accepted and so went to law school.
