History

Established in 2000.

Michael has been interested in photography since he was just a child. When the opportunity arose in high school to begin taking classes he jumped at the chance. His passion followed him to the Rochester Institute of Technology where he earn a BFA in Photojournalism in 1998.

Upon graduation he returned to Washington D. C and began covering the city in all of its glory. Whether the story was local, national, or international Michael photographed it for The Washington Post, New York Times, Dallas Morning News, The Australian, Times of London among others.

All Michael wanted to do with his photography was change the world. That’s not too much to ask is it? Well, it is a high bar to change the world when you define it as, well, the world. Photographing your wedding or mitzvah has the benefit of changing many people’s world one family at a time.

Michael has live in the Washington D.C. region his entire life, except for college, and loves to call it home. Most of his family still lives in the area and loves raising his child around D.C.

I became a photographer to make a difference in people’s lives. Photographs have the wonderful ability to capture a moment in time and let it live on forever. The dance never ends. You never get older. People, moments, and the memories that make up our lives get to be passed on to the next generation. That is why family photography, in all of its guises, moves me so much.
