Basic accommodation, the hot tub was warm. The air circulation in the room is poor, could not adjust the temp at all. The staff was pleasant. Pillows really flat.

This review is written after several weeks of working with hotel management and credit card points reps. As an earlier review pointed out, we were staying at this hotel recently. The floor that we were on was occupied by a college sports team, college age kids. These guys decided that they were going to stay up all night and drink, slamming doors, and partying in the room next to us. This went on all night. I called the front desk several times, and the girl, bless her heart tried hard to get the group to quiet down. This literally went on all night, until frustrated, I approached several of the young men in the hallway, at 5 am. We tried sleeping a few more hours, but eventually just got up and decided to drive home to Milwaukee.
I spoke with the morning desk clerk, and she was aware of the problem. She agreed to refund our room, and had mentioned that several other guests had the same problem. As she started, she saw that we had booked the room using a 3^rd party website. She apologized that she did not have the ability to refund the room, but offered a voucher for a free stay. Since we travel to Washington frequently, we thought this would be fine. She took down our info, and we left.
Flash forward to now. Last week, it had been several weeks and no voucher. I tried calling the hotel on Monday 12 – 28, and the phone rang non stop. Eventually a recording came on and stated something like «Due to techical difficulties, your call cannot be placed» OK, Whatever. Wednesday, I tried again. Finally I got through with the manager. I explained ths situaution to him, and he told me that in order to get a refund, I would have to contact the website that we booked it through. He said this would be much easier, and explained that when we did this, the 3^rd party CS agents will call him for approval, which he will happily provide.
Now comes today. After 2 hours on the phone with the 3^rd party website, the hotel is refusing to make any effort to reimburse our stay. So there it is. Nice enough hotel, but the management is a big crap sandwich.

I first stayed here about three years ago. It’s a relatively newer hotel, and is nice enough.
There’s free wifi, a fitness room, a pool, breakfast with some hot food items and there are places to dine in or buy food close by.
On my stay this year, the room and public spaces were still fine, but showing a little bit of wear. Our room appeared clean and the bed was comfortable enough.
We didn’t realize that the continuous fan setting on the heating/​cooling unit didn’t work until we were going to bed. The area the Sleep Inn is located in is quiet enough that this wouldn’t have been an issue, but unfortunately there was a loud group of about a dozen young men staying in rooms near our room, and they were having a large gathering in the room right across from us. After complaints, the front desk staff did try to quiet them down, but we were awakened several times in the wee hours of the morning, and kept awake by this group.
Perhaps if the fan had been on nonstop, we might not have been disturbed by them. My lesson learned is to check to make sure the fan works as soon as I get in the room from now on.
This property and the Cornerstone are currently the newest lodging available in Washington, and I would probably stay here again if I wanted/​needed to stay in Washington. For the price, if you don’t need to be in Washington, there are more reasonable options to be found in Peoria or East Peoria.
Due to the disruptions we experienced during our stay, the front desk staff offered us a refund and took my husband’s email address to get back to us. Two weeks later we have still heard nothing from them and even worse, when my husband tried calling the hotel, no one answered the phone and there was a recording that said they were unable to answer due to «technical difficulties».

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. We used this hotel for our wedding guests and that is by far my biggest regret from the wedding. Working with Evon and his staff was HORRIBLE!!! There was ZERO communication between the staff and the GM Evon. We originally had 30 rooms reserved for our wedding block with a discount for our guests, within a week all of the room were «sold out» so my guests had to go else where, then I called to see how the heck they were sold out already and they didn’t have an explanation and couldn’t provide me with a list of peoples’ names in our block. Then a week later rooms were magically open again. This happened 4 different times throughout the month and a half before our wedding. Guests were beyond confused and concerned they wouldn’t have a room once getting there. Then I called to make sure they had the room reserved for my husband and I and they FORGOT to actually book it. We wouldn’t have had a place to stay on our wedding night if I didn’t have a gut feeling to call and check. Then I found out from my guests that NO ONE was getting the discount. The saga continues, we set up to have several different shuttles take us to and from our venue. Evon asked me to call him a few weeks before to set up the times. It took me over a week just to get ahold of him. The staff kept telling me to call back and certain times in certain days and he was NEVER in at those times. After awhile I finally got ahold of him and we set up several different shuttles. We also discussed me dropping off guest bags with snacks in shuttle information for the guests staying at the hotel, he said that was no problem. So the Tuesday before our wedding I receive a phone call for him saying he could no long do the shuttles for our wedding. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! This was an out of town wedding and we had completely booked out this hotel in the middle of no where with out guests and you’re telling me you are going to drop services a few days before our wedding?! I took it to corporate and they were able to change that for me. They acted quickly because it was such short notice and in our CONTRACTS with the manager. We got thr shuttles back only because corporate got involved. Then the next day I go to drop off the guest bags I had already talked to Evon, the GM, about. The girl at thr front desk, Evon’s relative, gave me the BIGGEST attitude about the bags. She wouldn’t help me carry them in or even let me leave them with her. So I told her to call Evon. She called him and SCREAMED at him for a few minutes, in Spanish, right in front of me. Totally unprofessional!!! Then she said she could keep the bags but I had to move them to her back room. I was fine to HELP her move them but she didn’t help move them and continued to have attitude the whole time. I then called corporate again because I was started to worry big time about my guests coming and staying here with how unprofessional and rude thr staff was. Corporate again had to contact Evon. Twice in 2 days. The venue’s event coordinator ended up going over to the hotel to talk to Evon herself and basically put thr fear of God in him. The venue does SO much business with them and she was very disappointment and also worried for our guests. The actual nights at the hotel was okay, however the elevator was broken and we had guests who physically needed thr elevator and couldn’t use it. Again not okay. The staff was asked to help carry bags down from upper floors since thr elevator was broken and the staff refused. Unprofessional. Overall this experience was HORRIFIC. DO NOT STAY WITH THEM, DO NOT GIVR THIS HORRIBLE HOTEL ANY BUSINESS!!! The hotel should not be the most stressful part of wedding planning but it absolutely was. WORST EXPERIENCE!!!

We had a 1 night stay in a 1 king bed suite. It was a non smoking room but we think people were smoking outside our window at the front of the building and it came in through the fan. The room was a good size for me, my husband and our 2 year old. The fridge was much bigger than I expected which I loved because of course I brought a lot of toddler food and our own snacks and drinks. The room was clean but the coffee maker is right by the toilet and there was a few places on walls near shower and garbage cans where they should have cleaned. Just a shower no tub which was ok for us. They started taking down the continental breakfast very early which really bothered me but the wi-​fi was good and the size of our room made me pretty happy. Noise wasn’t too bad despite 3 weddings and being next to a busy bar. We booked online and I don’t see any clarification on how much we actually saved using our AAA but I think we did get a reduced rate. Overall pretty good and what else are you going to do unless you’re going to stay in Peoria?

None of the lights worked in the room. Every light bulb was out besides the bathroom overhead light. Beds were extremely squeaky and not comfortable to say the least. If you can book in Peoria, I would recommend driving the additional 18 minutes.

There are only about three hotels/​motels in Washington, IL: This one, a Super 8, and a sketchy-​looking motel (aren’t all motels sketchy-​looking?) that currently has blue tarps on the roof. Obviously, this was the nicest of the offerings. It is nothing special, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable enough, the heating unit was able to power through single digit temperatures and keep the room warm, the rooms were fairly large, and nothing was shabby or terribly outdated. They had a complimentary breakfast, but I don’t know what that entailed because I slept through it. There was ample parking, and the hotel was conveniently located. It’s probably a 3 to 3.5 star hotel for hotel rating purposes, but for Unilocal’s purposes it is a solid four stars.

No problems, but nothing special either. Just A-​OK.

I stayed there for 2 nights for a weekend lacrosse tournament. The hotel was literally down the road from the fields, so as far as location, it could not get any better.
As far as quality goes: The room was clean and big. The bed was comfy, and there was no shortage of pillows. The bathroom was large, the counter was spacious, and the shower worked perfectly fine. Also, more importantly, they provide free, tasty breakfast. Seriously, I’ve never had waffles so good before.
All in all, it was everything I could have asked for for a 2-​night stay. Unfortunately, this was the last year I can go to the tournament, but if I were to go down to Peoria again, I would definitely stay at the Sleep Inn.

I was very impressed by this brand new hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive, it was affordable and the facilities were top notch. There is a small fitness center which was very nice, new, and clean, and there is also a nice indoor pool and hot tub area. The rooms were spacious and well taken care of. There is also free coffee and tea in the lobby throughout the day with free newspapers, and a breakfast buffet. The hotel certainly made my stay in Washington very comfortable and enjoyable. And to top it all off they have free wifi in your room, what a deal!
