History

Established in 2014.

After a combined eight years of working at various pet care businesses here in the District, Jordan and Jessica decided to take their deep love for dogs and the experience they gained along the way to start Uptown Pup DC.

Being well seasoned in many aspects of the pet care industry, their goal is to build on what they’ve learned people want from their pet care providers and take it to the next level; not just meeting client expectations, but exceeding them.

Jordan has now been taking care of my dog for almost a year. Its been fantastic. He is friendly, responsive, and responsible. Home is a high energy lab and has come to depend on Jordan’s afternoon walks and runs. A few months ago he began to walk Buddy too-​my fiances aging pup. While he requires a very different touch than Homer, Jordan has connected with Buddy in a way that only a few people have.
Jordan has been great with overnight stays too.

Jordan has been walking my dog for more than two months now, and I have nothing but positive things to say about him. If something comes up last minute and my dog needs a walk, Jordan always finds a way to accommodate him. He also leaves notes about how the walk went (these are often amusing but only in the best of ways) and will send you pictures. Bonus: he has great tips for how to train your pup. I highly recommend Jordan and Uptown Pup!

I have had an amazing experience with Uptown Pup over the past 6 months. Jordan & Ryan were recommended to me by others at my NW DC dog park. They have been absolutely wonderful with my high-​energy border collie — it takes a lot to wear him out, and he is sleepy and happy after they have come to visit. They take him on runs, play fetch with him, etc. — beyond the usual walking that other dog walkers have done. They also write detailed notes about how the walk went that day and send pictures and videos frequently. Jordan is also incredibly responsive over email and very flexible with my schedule changes and last minute requests. I highly recommend Jordan and Ryan!
