This place is obviously run by scam artists and crooks. Went to watch my kids participate in a mud run but was turned away at the gate by a sneering middle aged woman with an overflowing fanny pack. «Ten dollars» were her words. I asked on what account. «Parking» she happily answered. Upon handing her a debit card she hastily informed me that it was cash only. I asked what I got for my 10 $ and she said simply, parking. As I had no cash and was running short on patience, I asked that maybe I could get a kiss in addition to space rental considering the boisterous fee, to which she declined. Upon realizing my disbelief, dismay, and less than sunny disposition, she pulled out her modern aged smart phone and offered to show me the fee schedule. I begrudgingly declined the offer. OK I get that the place needs to make money and that I’m free to frequent other establishments but in the 21st century whom doesn’t have Square, PayPal, or some other wireless pos system. To add insult to injury, she then asked me if I had any money at all. Like say what? The fee is 10 $ but I’ll take car change instead. These folks need to take this show on the road. In the time it took me to turn around, I watched them accumulate 110 $ in the till. 20 minutes back to an atm, and 20 minutes back, race over.

The Dick Jagow Memorial GP was bunk this year. The weather was harsh and sloppy which makes the race even more fun. Dick Jagow himself would have loved the riding conditions because he was super fast in the worst of it. The crappy thing about the day was that the quad class was cancelled. The race was put on by Mt. Scott Motorcycle Club and they did an overall good job with the basics of putting on a race but the between the owner of the track and MSMC they decided last minute to not run the last class of the day, the quad class. Normally as a dirt bike rider I would care less about that but last year I saw quads running in the race and I thought it looked so fun I would buy one specifically for this event once a year. Plus I waited over 6 hours after my dirt bike class in the cold and rain for the quad class I was also in just to get shut down because MSMC was too lazy to run the last class of the day. They said that it was because they didn’t want dirt in the stream beds but I think that’s bull because there was only 6 of us quad riders signed up and we wouldn’t have made a noticeable impact even if that was an issue. If there were 30 riders in our class I guarantee they would have run it. The only reason they didn’t run it was because they were too lazy to finish what they started and charged people for. I’m just saying if your going to advertise something you better do it. Otherwise don’t post on all your flyers and online that its a thing and if you don’t want to run it anymore then run it this last time for the people who showed up to participate and don’t do it next year or something. It’s common sense, MSMC and the owner of Washougal. Those are the two parties that the people at the main booth said made the garbage call to shut it down. This isn’t baseball people. This is dirt biking. DIRT. Don’t be lazy. I brought 5 friends with me that would not have attended otherwise. I made Washougal Motocross Track/MSMC an extra $ 240.00 and they screw me. I will not be supporting either of these two parties again. They don’t deserve my business.
