This place is awesome! First time eating there 1÷28÷16 and we are very satisfied. We ordered a shack attack meal with chile cheese fries, a cheese burger kids meal and a Philly cheesesteak. Best Philly my wife has ever had and the burgers were huge both of them. The prices were great, the staff was extra nice and the place was clean. Thank you The Burger and Philly Shack. We will be back very soon:):):):)

FABULOUS! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! We stopped here for a early dinner and WOW we are so happy that we did! We are originally from PA(my husband is from Philly and I am from Pittsburgh) and have some pretty high standards when it comes to Philly Cheesesteaks. The staff greeted us with a friendly smile when we walked in and answered all are questions. We both ordered the 10 «Philly Cheesesteak combos. I had everything on mine and a side of sweet potato fries and my husband had everything on his and regular fries. The cheesesteaks were delicious! The meat was well seasoned and the buns were loaded with meat, cheese, peppers, etc… My sweet potato fries were perfectly done and tasty! My husband said his fries were great too! We plan to return again in the future, these were the best Philly Cheesesteaks we’ve had since moving here 2 years ago.

Officially in love. If you know anything about me you know I like meat. Especially in the form of a philly cheesesteak. These folks do it right. The meat is delicious, onions perfectly cooked and the bread is magnificent.

The chili cheese fries were amazing, now the philly, I’m from up north, and I can honestly say this was sad disappointing to be a so called«philly». Looks are deceiving, the bread was wet on the bottom, not greasy, there’s a difference! And also the meat needed to be seasoned a little more, and the cheese was not properly melted with the cheesesteak! If I go back, it would probably be for the chili cheese fries and something else on the menu. The guy was nice at the place though.

My husband and I just finished watching Creed, the movie based on Apollo Creed’s son from Rocky. Great movie, but since it was based out in Philly — of course, the Philly Cheesesteak was in it so we just had to go get one… in Texas. Unilocal didn’t disappoint with The Burger and Philly Shack. Although the place is unassuming and almost hidden behind a snowcone hut — the food & service is fantastic. For $ 25, we got a 10″ Philly Cheesesteak with Cheeze Wiz, onion rings, chili cheeese steak fries, a 5″ Philly with provolone, and 4 lemon pepper wings. Yes, all of that for $ 25. The portions definitely aren’t small so I could barely finish half of my food. The meat on the Phillys tasted so buttery & not frozen. The chili cheese fries were evenly coated with chili & melted cheese. The onion rings had that crispy bite in a flavorful batter. The wings also had a crispy bite with just the right kick of lemon pepper seasoning. Don’t be fooled by the outer appearance! Definitely give this place a try. The man working the counter was so friendly, funny, personable & quick. The food came out fresh & fairly quickly considering it’s all made fresh to order. The Burger & Philly Shack, your food & hospitality made us feel like champs. Can’t wait to come back!

Lots of value for your money! It may look like a dump from outside but the food is served really quickly fresh and lots of it for the money definitely worth it!

I stopped to buy dinner here on a cold October night. I ordered a Philly cheese steak and a cheeseburger to go. It was a pretty busy night, and I still only waited about 10 minutes for my food. The burger was rich in flavor, meat was cooked just right. The philly cheese was also very good. I noticed it had jalapeños, but I guess that’s a texas thing. I also noticed the sandwich had a bit of a sour taste to it but it was still good. I would definitely come back for more.

I have been in TX for 13 years and this is the first time I have had a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich that was right on the money. The meat was seasoned well, and the veges were fresh, and the sandwich was oooowwwweeeee goooowwwwwey good.

Seriously good phillys being churned out of this place. Befitting of the name, the place does look to be a shack from the outside. Inside is clean and usually busy. I’ve been here about a dozen times and have no idea what their burgers are like. Why? Because the phillys are just as good as what I’ve eaten in Philly. I get mine with everything and whiz. It always comes out piping hot and delicious, made to order. The owner is very friendly and enjoys chatting. It may be a bit of a drive but you won’t find a better philly anywhere near DFW. Try it out! Seriously, go now.

I just recently moved close to here and have been passing this place daily. The reviews were great and it was time to check it out so I did. The ordering process is straight to the point. The food is cooked to order but is worth the wait. I ordered the cheesesteak with provolone and all the veggies. No cheese whiz this time, by maybe next time. I also got sweet potato fries. $ 11.00 with a drink. Not bad for a really good lunch. I’m sure I’ve found my lunch and dinner favorite close to home. The menu is loaded with my favorite burger joint food.

As others have commented, this place does not exactly have great curb appeal… its in a rundown strip mall. That said, believe the reviews when it comes to the food. The staff is friendly and checked on us a couple times, ensuring everything was ok. I had a full size philly with provo cheese, mushrooms, and jalapenos. Solid cheesesteak, stuffed to the ends of the bread. Do yourself a favor, give this spot a try if you are looking for a great cheesesteak.

This place has bomb Philly cheesesteaks. Stopped in earlier today for my first time to see what all the raving reviews were about, and boy did it come through. I woofed down my philly. It was amazing! The onion rings were also very good too. This is definitely going to be my new spot to snag a philly. Next time I’m gonna try their burgers!!! HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!!!

I’ve been on the lookout for good cheesesteak ever since my boyfriend took me to the boardwalk in New Jersey and to Philadelphia and try up North food. I wanted to like this place since there were so many good reviews. After eating here I don’t know why this place got so many good reviews. I have been here twice, once with my dad and once with my boyfriend. The food both time were let downs. The bread both time on my cheesesteak were soggy and oily, the cheeze whiz wasn’t anything to hype over. My dad got a burger that was burnt, but he pretty much just eats anything. My boyfriend got his cheesesteak with provolone cheese, they were slapped on there and barely melted. Both times that I went they weren’t busy, so I don’t understand why my food sucked. Maybe I just happen to be there when they had their bad days. Overall, very disappointed.

This hole in the wall is THE place for a philly! The menu is straight to the point and you should just go with the cheesesteak. At the counter is instructions on how to order, I suggest you follow it to make it easy. I had a philly with mushrooms, onions, sweet peppers, provolone, and cheeze whiz. I highly recommend the cheeze whiz. The sandwich comes with a fork because it is packed full of goo steak and fixings. It is dripping with juices, making the bun wet and delicious. Try it out! I know I will become a regular quickly.

Went today for lunch and was blown away. I had thought about going in several times, but honestly, it looks like a dump from the outside. Decided WTH this morning and went. I got the ½ philly with onions, mushrooms, and«hot peppers»(fresh jalapenos) with cheese whiz, and some onion rings. I received my order in less than 5 minutes and it was fresh off the grill hot. The philly was very juicy and flavorful, with a great spice from the jalapenos. The onion rings were very good and had a wet batter coating to them. They were very good as well. I will definitely go back and most likely get the same thing.

Look here you PA transplants(myself included) Jonzin’ for a taste of home and sick and tired of trying those so-called«Cheesesteak» subs at the local pizza and sandwich joints? Look no further my friends. «The Shack» gets their sub rolls from Amoroso bakery in Philly so it’s the Real Deal. They stuff it with thinly sliced steak(griddled) with your choice of grilled onions, mushrooms, peppers and CHEESEWHIZ! Yes…(stoners take notice), I said CHEESEWHIZ. Authentic! The shop itself is small, inviting, clean and looks like one of those joints that’s been there for years(I think it has). Oh…they use Amoroso rolls and CHEESEWHIZ! I prefer mine with onions, da Whiz and hot peppers. In lieu of peperoncini rings, they put Jalapenos on it but hey… this is Texas afterall. The owner is a funny and friendly gent who always makes sure that your order came out right and that things are good. We like to hit«The Shack» a couple of times a month for lunch and I’ve help build a good following at my N Beach office.

After reading the great reviews, we were hungry for burgers and took a drive down here. The burger was a pretty decent burger and at a ½ lb, it’s a good size. It’s customizable to how you like it, which is awesome. It came out to us juicy & perfectly cooked. We also read about the fried zucchini. We’re somewhat of zucchini snobs and are standards are high, so we were a little disappointed w/these. We also got the jalapeño poppers. Both, obviously, came from a frozen bag and just deep fried. Seriously, you can do that at home. Not that they taste bad, but just nothing special. Overall, it’s a good burger, but not great. It also was about $ 9.00 for a burger combo and I, personally, think that’s overpriced for this place.
