The Danforth Pewter Waterbury, VT store is in the Cabot Annex on the Waterbury-Stowe (Route 100), along with Cabot Cheese, Lake Champlain Chocolates & Smugglers Notch Distillery and Tasting Room. We are between Ben & Jerry’s and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill.

Our Waterbury store features our full line of handcrafted pewter, from our oil lamps, candlesticks and vases, which are spun by hand on antique lathes in our workshop in Vermont. We have a full line of jewelry, ornaments, key rings, picture frames, kitchen and homeware and lots of classic baby gifts.

History

Established in 1975.

Fred and Judi Danforth founded Danforth Pewterers in 1975 in Woodstock, Vermont designing and producing a line of original pieces which they sold out of their farmhouse workshop. They moved to Lincoln, Vermont in 1978, and continued to grow. In 1989, the business was moved into a newly designed facility in Middlebury, Vermont where the Danforth Pewter line is still handcrafted with pride. Danforth Pewter currently has four store locations in Vermont (Middlebury, Burlington, Waterbury Center, and Quechee) as well as the Shirley Pewter Shop in Williamsburg, VA. The company also sells wholesale as well as doing custom designs.
