Specialties

Everything But the Stamp has become known as a resource for finer quality social stationery (personalized cards, notes, sheets and envelopes) and custom invitations or announcements for any type of event (wedding, baby, LGBT occasions, bar/bat mitzvot, corporate events, pig roasts, lobster bakes, …). Napkins, koozies, ribbons, etc., are also here. And we are still addressing envelopes, printing short run invitations and filling in certificates with computerized calligraphy. Our vendors include Arak/Kanofsky Studios, Crane and Co., Smock, Wm. Arthur, Luscious Verde, Bella Figura, Tag & Co., Caspari, Checkerboard, Envelopments, Stacy Claire Boyd, Starfish Art, Bonnie Marcus, and several bespoke resources to create whatever one can imagine. New to EBTS are several key suppliers of office and business printed needs, from checks and deposit slips, labels and tags, business forms and office outputs to software compatible forms

and custom writing paper. So whether you need wedding invitations and accessories, fine leather accessories, embossers, or personalized accessories, feel free to contact Everything but the Stamp. Proudly located within Mallove’s Jewelers in Waterford, CT, we have established ourselves as a major provider of the papers and paraphernalia to write and invite.

History

Established in 1984.

During the late 1970s/early 1980s, while my wife and I visited her family on Manhattan’s East Side, we came to love the «independent» greeting card and paper stores exemplified by «Curzart» then on East 59th off Park. When seeking our new venture’s name (during the period when every similar business was «Paper Palace» or «Paper Place») we told our friends the type of inventory we envisioned, and one of them casually replied, Oh, everything but the stamp.” Our business has grown to become well-regarded throughout eastern CT, southern RI and beyond by the referral of satisfied clients.

Meet the Business Owner

Rick M.

Business Owner

Rick M grew up in a family-run retail business where the satisfaction of the customer was most important. A graduate of Clark University, Rick has always enjoyed working closely with clients and (most often!) earning their earnest appreciation and satisfaction. His first venture, along with a friend, was opening «Sweet and Delicious» in Niantic, CT — a sweet boutique of chocolates and other goodies — and then, with the good taste and talents of his wife, Jill, opening «Everything But the Stamp». After getting EBTS off to a good start, Jill returned to her first love of special education. The year 2008 saw the closing of the card shop and Rick’s focus on the continuing brokerage of the social resources they’d acquired and the addition of business print resources.
