I took my son here for 5 years. From a 10 week old infant until he left to go to kindergarten. At first I was very pleased. Thus why he went for so many years. The ladies in the infant room were fabulous. Even though the room felt old and dated. The center is located within a church but is not ran by the church. They have a separate wing where most the daycare rooms are. The outside play area is fenced in but the equipment is not much. They go for walks anytime they can so the kids get physical exercise. They only take kids until they are ready for kindergarten. Then they don’t have a program after that. Every age has a separate room, different teachers and a different experience. It seemed to always be a revolving door for staff. Although staff was always friendly. Why a 2? The management. In the last year the new supervisor made my experience miserable. Always paid monthly because I only get paid every month. I would pay a huge lump sum and it would pay ahead for half the next month and half of what I already racked up the month before. It was 600 a month for my son. All of a sudden I was getting snotty letters about how I had to pay every week or they wouldn’t accept my son any longer. When I tried to talk to her in person about it she acted like it wasn’t her who wrote the letters. But she signed it. After 4 years I think I proved I could pay my bill. My son had a oatmeal allergy. It is non life threatening and he only gets a rash, mainly from lotions and soaps containing oatmeal. For 4 years they had no problem not feeding him granola bars and oatmeal. I had had a physician even specify what he couldn’t have. One day I got a letter from the supervisor saying my son needed all these special forms filled out about his allergy or they wouldn’t feed him any snacks during the day. He wasn’t due for an appointment and his old doctor retired so I had to make an appointment with a new physician just to get these forms filled out. The appointment was three weeks out. I got snotty letter after snotty letter even though I td her when the appointment was. Finally I got a letter saying that until the paperwork was done I had to supply all his snacks. So I went and bought several morning and afternoon snacks and brought them to his teacher of his room. She knew nothing about not feeding him snacks and has always just eliminated the oatmeal. I told her what was going on. She didn’t have good things to say about her supervisor. The supervisor literally made the last 9 months of my five year experience here horrible. I should have fond memories of my choice of child care facilities. Instead I have a bad taste in my mouth and would not recommend it.
