History
Established in 1980.
The Alzheimer’s Association opened its doors in 1980 as one of the founding Chapters of our national association. In the fall of 1999 the Eastern Massachusetts and the Western Massachusetts Chapters joined together to form the Massachusetts Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. In 2007, the Chapter assumed responsibility for providing services to families and professionals living and working in New Hampshire. Throughout both states, we strive to offer a high level of programs and services.
We are proud to be a strong statewide affiliate of the national Alzheimer’s Association, the largest non profit organization dedicated to supporting families and professionals and working to find effective treatments and a cure for Alzheimer’s. There are over 80 chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association throughout the nation, enabling us to assist families, wherever they live.
