2015 and still driving from Ashland. This mechanic is the most honest man I’ve ever dealt with all of these years owning cars.

As someone with no knowledge about cars, I’ve had my fair share of mechanic rip offs. This was not the case with Bazarian. I had my oil changed for a fair price by an honest and down-​to-​earth mechanic who I’m assuming was the owner. I swear my car purrs now when I drive and I can absolutely feel a difference. I would definitely recommend!

Seeing all 5 star reviews really caught my eye when I looked up Bazarian. Naturally, when my girlfriend’s car broke down in the middle of the road, I wanted to find a quick, trustworthy source in the area to get the job done correctly and quickly. Brought the car there and were greeted by who I presumed to be the GM. Told him the scenario and also came off quite obviously as non-​experts when it came to auto repair. We left the car there in the early morning and he got back to us within 2 hours with a diagnosis: new distributor, wires, and spark plugs necessary. The estimated price? $ 800. 400 parts/​400 labor (02 Accord).
Looked up the situation on YouTube shortly after. Found a 7 minute video with the exact same repair work shown. Also looked up the parts online: $ 220 OEM (Distributor + wires. Her spark plugs were new 3 months prior). Long story short, this was NOT an $ 800 job. Far from it. The proof? Instead of following the YouTube video, we left it to a friend of a friend (a professional mechanic) who did the job in 15 minutes. $ 270 later, the car starts and runs perfectly.
Be wary of this shop. They get 2 stars because of their personable management and low price charged for checking out the issue. I understand they have overhead to manage and margins to hit, but we felt pretty manipulated once we saw the estimate we received.

Bazarian Motors is the only place we go now for repairs for our cars (one domestic, one foreign). He’s consistently reliable and, like another reviewers said, tells you what you really need and what you can do without. I’ve always gotten my car back quickly without any surprise as to cost. Although we moved out of town and are now maybe 45 minutes away, we’ve found that it’s still worth coming to Bazarian (and never the dealer!).

I’m not big on writing reviews, but Ishkahn, the owner of Bazarian, really impressed me. I had an issue with my car where a few mechanics wouldn’t even look at it because they thought it’d be too big of a job. Ishkahn put me at ease and told me it may not even be a big deal and he’d definitely at least look at the car. Long story short is that the issue turned out to be a relatively simple fix. Ishkahn kept in touch with me, gave me a fair price, and had the car done a day sooner than promised. Ishkahn is without a doubt the kind of mechanic you want working on your car.

My car needed new brakes. After calling around, Bazarian Motors was the cheapest by $ 100 dollars. Brought my car in, received a diagnostic call a few hours later where he told me all 4 needed to be replaced (as I suspected). The car was ready a few hours after that. All in all, a great job done for a very reasonable price. Ishkan is efficient, honest, and reliable. Will be bringing my car here from now on!

We drive from Somerville to have a car diagnosed and repaired by Bazarian. Because we’re a one-​car family, getting back to Watertown to pick up our car can be tricky… but we long ago determined that it’s worth the inconvenience. We haven’t found anyone else who can beat Bazarian’s price, efficiency, and friendliness. Ishkan is a straight shooter when it comes to what you absolutely need, and what you can temporarily do without. He’s not condescending, and he won’t push you to buy anything you don’t need. Further, his rates are very competitive. There are probably cheaper mechanics out there… but if you own a car, you know the cost of choosing the cheapest mechanic. Adjusted for quality, Bazarian is a bargain.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a mechanic. I brought my car in at 8:15 and by 8:30 he had diagnosed, fixed the problems and I was driving home. I will definitely be going back here for future service.

Everyone knows how hard it is to find a good, honest mechanic. I’ve had my share of bad experiences with car repair shops in the past, but consider myself lucky to have found Ishkan at Bazarian Motors. He’s the second most honest mechanic I’ve ever met (the first being a close family friend), and is very nice, experienced and fast!
There’s never more than a couple day wait when I call to see when I can bring my car or my wife’s car in. Once I bring the car in, I always get a call back within a couple hours with a detailed description of the problem (if necessary), a very reasonable estimated cost, and the time it will take (which so far has been the same day for small and medium difficulty jobs). The actual cost of the job is almost always less than the estimate, and the level of workmanship has always been extremely high.
All in all, Bazarian motors is a top notch repair shop and I highly recommend it for all your cars’ maintenance!
