History

Established in 1970.

Credo Community Center for the Treatment of Addictions, Inc. began in 1970 as a grassroots effort to combat a growing drug problem in Northern New York, and has grown to become one of the leading substance abuse and mental health providers in the region. Under the leadership of respected, dedicated staff and passionate board members, Credo boasts a full continuum of services including a residential youth program set on 115 acres of beautiful farmland, a women’s intensive residential program, a men’s community residence and aftercare community residence. Recently opened in Spring 2014, Credo’s new Mental Health Clinic is just the first of many exciting new additions to the Credo spectrum of services.
