Such great customer service! I never took my car in because of time constraints but the gentlemen were incredibly helpful in going out if their way to help me find where I could get a replacement tire, by calling various factory stores themselves when I had no idea where to look in Boston, as I was just visiting.

VERY DISAPPOINTED — Spent over $ 1000 for new tires –$ 300 more than another because they said they would warranty tire for the life (50,000 miles 5 years) got a flat – broght it in and guess what – no repair– tire was damages but not from normal wear – WILL NEVER BOTHER WITH THEM AGAIN – DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Went to these guys to get new tires mounted on some wheels, and those out wheels put on my car. They did a fantastic job, they were quick, friendly, and they cut me a great deal!

I trust this place and they have always given me the best price and service. Having a dad who has worked on cars his whole life, he even called them to make sure they knew their stuff! Dad approved and daughter approved!

When I entered Direct Tire, I had my guard up. I wanted to schedule a look at my car as it was vibrating at higher speeds and making me nervous on a recent trip. I was going to be out of town and really wanted a call before any work was done.
Two things I like about this place:
They took a video of the issues on my car and sent it to me via text and followed that up with a phone call. LOVE THIS as it helped me understand the issues with my car.
They were funny on the phone when we discussed a minor light that was out. I enjoyed that conversation with whomever called me.
The downside? When I went in I also encountered what I detest about care service places, gender bias — no I don’t know everything about cars, but I know mine had a similar problem in the past and that it was fixed by fixing the alignment. I was immediately told it wasn’t alignment but a balance issue. That may or may not have been true but I hate being told before someone actually looks and listens to my own experience. Their experience might be greater than mine, but just look and then we’ll chat. That’s my preferred method of dealing with car service.
I’ll go back to get my car serviced there most likely. I also need to go back to get my rotor replaced. The video showed clearly the damage, but I didn’t have the $$$ to address it right away.

Many thanks for fantastic job you did on my SQ5 ! My tire needed to be repaired upon inspection they’ve determine that side puncture could be fixed. They took me in 45 minutes before closing on Saturday. Not only they took care of me but also saved 1200 $. How, you ask? Well with 20k on the car i theoretically needed at least two tires to be replaced. Cost to do so 1000 $. At that point would only make sense replace all 4. Approximate cost 2200 $. Her is the kicker. They had used tires with only 3k on them from same make and
model! How amazing is that! So for under 1k I drove with 4 pretty much brand spanking new summer performance tires.

Direct Tire & Auto gets 5 stars from me. John, Peter, and Gordy (? Sorry) were the 3 guys in the office and worked together like a well oiled machine. From my first phone call, to my second call, to my actual appointment, all 3 of these guys were nice, funny, and professional. They really know what they’re talking about and were honest in describing the service I needed today and when to come back for additional maintenance. They kept me informed (and entertained) during my hour and half wait. They were courteous to me and to every other customer that walked in or called. Customer service goes a long way in my book. The service was fairly prompt. I was quoted an hour and a half, and waited about an hour and 45 minutes. I didn’t mind though. They keep a clean waiting area, with a wide variety of magazines and a coffee maker, which is always appreciated. Thanks guys for making the daunting chore of having my car worked on, not so bad. I will absolutely be back and I will absolutely recommend this location to anyone who asks.

It’s hard to express how good the service is here. Everyone that I’ve interacted with over the past 2 years has been wonderful. It’s as if each person has a personal investment in the business. People are always smiling and pleasant.
Even when they are busy they make every effort to accommodate your requests and in the rare circumstances that they can’t they are always helpful.
Quality of work is excellent, and their winter tire storage program is a life saver.
I won’t anywhere else.

Needed new tires to pass inspection, they were ordered, and when I dropped off the car first thing int he AM, I got a lovely little Honda Civic loaner. Car was ready before noon, life is good. Took a long drive the next day, and started to hear brake noises as well as noticing the Tire Monitor light was on and pressure levels being reported were hinky. Back to DT, apologies, inspection, yep, needs new front brakes, we should have noticed how about a discount on the brakes and we’ll reset the tire sensor? OK. Brakes done, pick up the car after hours and notice the sensor light still weird. leave the car, call next day and they looks again, end up replacing two tire pressure sensors at no charge and all is good.
Stuff happens, they dealt with it professionally, politely and with an extreme service mentality. A little free stuff and some discounts never hurt, either. I’ll keep going back here.

Another solid visit with Direct Tire. I am a father of four, having my car in excellent shape is a priority. I fully trust Direct Tire for all my regular auto maintenance.

Service was fast, courteous, and affordable.
I have a 2012 Fiat 500 Sport which was in need of new tires for all this unanticipated snow this winter. I called on a Saturday needing 4 new tires (which no store would carry in stock because of the odd size tire I needed– ¹⁹⁵⁄₄₅ R 16), and even though they had already been closed a half hour when I made the call, the owner Barry answered the phone and was happy to help me hunt down the tires I needed, and said they would arrive by Tuesday morning, just a couple days later. Monday night, they even allowed me to drop my car off to have inside their work bay overnight so that they didn’t have an iceberg to work on in the morning when the tires arrived. The tires came in at noon on Tuesday and I had my car available by 3pm that day. The grand total for all 4 quality tires, plus installation came in at just over $ 500 which is a great competitive price. Andrew, the specific gentleman who worked on my transaction, was courteous, professional, and quite understanding of my needs, which made for an enjoyable experience overall. Thank you guys for the wonderful, fast, efficient service you gave me. I would recommend this store for those looking for a quality affordable place to have work done to their car.

I had a very pleasant experience with Direct Tire. My car was very shakey. I could not drive over 50mph on the highway. I thought it was due to a pothole I must of hit or maybe my tires were becoming flat. Anyway, I dropped my car off in the morning and by that afternoon it was fixed. They charged me for balance and alignment service.

I had an appointment with Direct tire at 1:30pm for replace wheels and tires. Now, its 3:45pm. They still working on my cars.
It just change new wheels and tires. It takes too long!

I have been to Direct Tire a few times. Prices are good and they always have coupons on their site. Good work, the only thing is the wait times sometimes, but i guess it is because of the demand for their services. Happy to wait for a good work to be done.

Let’s start this review with a tip for business owners: I know it’s hard to run a business on Living Social coupons, and frankly I don’t know why most business even try it. If you can’t make it work, just don’t sell them. Don’t invalidate them with a discount so standard and fake that your employees don’t even mention it when quoting a price. It’s not just some coupon that we can walk away from. When we buy living social coupons we are locking ourselves into using it at your establishment, and therefore you have to be up front with people. Anything else is just an unfair business tactic. Or just being a jerk.
Okay, to the details:
I work directly behind Direct Tire, so I have been going to them for my car repairs for about a decade, excepting the last few years when I leased my first car. Yes, they are expensive, but it’s so convenient, and some of the mechanics are really good guys. Well, I needed new pads and rotors on the rear, and they quoted me twice, once the day before when they were too busy to take the car, and once over the phone while my car was in the shop, $ 369 for the job, in a matter-​of-​fact, everyday way. No problem.
Well when I went to pay, partially with a Living Social coupon, they balked and said that I couldn’t use two coupons at once. What other coupon was I using, I asked, surprised? Well, sir, $ 369 is after the free brake pads that we threw in to the price. The real price is $ 468.00.
I clearly expressed my consternation at this, to no avail, and am so incredibly pissed that I will never go here again.
I’m their target market; I’m upper middle class, busy, listen to NPR and their ads thereon. I also hold a fiery grudge, and will never, ever, not take a chance to tell my friends and family to not go here.
I’m in my early thirties and I paid with a .pdf on my smart phone… did I really look like the demographic that won’t excoriate them on Unilocal?What were they thinking? If they receive 50 0 star reviews, it would screw their business, and at this rate, that’s only $ 5000.00, which is probably about the cost of the custom rims and tires that the owner, Mr. Steinberg, puts on his de-​badged Audi S6 every year.
I’m taking my car to the nice guy with a single repair bay down the street who will shake my hand and doesn’t try to screw me out of a hundred bucks.

I got a flat tire on my lunch hour and needed to get a new one within 24 hours.
Since I purchased 2 new tires from Direct Tire last winter, I went straight over there to ditch the donut and get the real deal.
The service team is amazing, the way they keep things moving although the place is usually busy!
Within 10 minutes, my old tire was taken into the shop and I was on my way back to work.
The next morning I called and asked if I could get my new one put on before work.
The woman on the phone said to come in and they would try to get it done.
Again, since I was stressed about getting to work on time, they raced to get the new tire on my car and I was off to work — phew!
I can’t say enough good things about Direct Tire in Watertown!

Update: Connected with owners and am glad to see they stand behind their brand and willing to make things right. Willing to give them another chance in the future.

I very rarely give poor reviews but my latest experience with this place was very bad. Had new tires and wheels put on with a TPMS swap.
— The service guy was fairly surly but knowing these people for many years, there’s only 1 or 2 that work there that has a decent demeanor
— Tech broke one of my OEM TPMS, which they replaced with one of their aftermarket units.
— Tech failed to balance ¾ of the tires, 1 as badly as 2.5 ounces off.
After a week, I had to go somewhere else to rebalance my tires (they were vibrating all over different speeds and road conditions and I had no intention of going back lest they break something else in the process). $ 100 wasted that I’ll never get back due to incompetence of their service technicians.

I have been a customer of Direct Tire for years. Always get my snow tires here (free fall/​spring changeovers) and have had generally good experiences. Prices on their tires are not the absolute cheapest, but they usually have good service to compensate. My most recent experience was very bad.
My wife had her spring snow tire changeover done as usual. About 6 weeks later, I noticed that each wheel was missing one lug nut — and that where there had been wheel locks before, these locks (one per wheel) were missing. Upon further investigating, I discovered that the «key» to the wheel locks had been sheared off. Apparently, this is not uncommon for the Lexus locks. However, my main problem is that all of this happened without a word to my wife or to me — it seems that they were hoping we wouldn’t notice. They simply let her drive off with a missing lug nut on each wheel and no more wheel locks.
When I brought the car back to Direct Tire, the service person (Andrew — who I think is the store manager) — immediately knew that the missing lug nuts were the locks (again probably common). He then told me that they did not have the type of lugs on this car and that I should go to the dealer. No apology, no offer to help make it right.
Of course this being a Lexus, they only sell the lug nuts for these wheels (F-​sport) in full sets — including locks — for $ 200. I’m pretty PO’d about this.
So, long story short — if you have wheels with locks, remove them before you take your car top these guys if you want to be sure to have them when you are done.
