Therapeutic Massage has been my focus. I treat people with chronic discomfort and injuries to decrease pain, improve circulation, and range of motion. This type of massage is specific (not full body) and uses a variety of techniques including stretching, neuromuscular, heat and deep tissue. I often give advice how to safely strengthen and stretch the problem areas, along with ergonomic suggestions. I also offer Postural Exercises and Yoga sessions. I individulize the postural exercises according to your specific postural imbalances and weakness. With my yoga sessions. I individually design a yoga practice tailored to the clients physical abilities and goals.

History

Established in 1998.

Michele is a licensed massage therapist and a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant; a graduate of Lassell college in 1998. She has been inprivate practice in Needham, MA for over 10 years. Michele earned a B.S.

degree in exercise Physiology from UMass Boston in 1989. She has worked at Spaulding Rehabilitation in Out Patient Pain clinic. In addition, Michele is Hatha Yoga Certified.

One of the main reasons I became a health care provider is because of my own experiences with chronic neck pain that I suffered with for a very long time. After many whiplashes and many visits to physical therapy. I decided that this was the field that I wanted to be in. After graduating with an Occupational therapy degree from Lasell college. I devoted many years attending workshops and continuing education courses that would help me learn the proper techniques to help others with chronic neck, hip and low back pain.
