This is a nice nail salon… a bit larger and more dressed up than most. Their prices are higher than anywhere else in the area, though and their services aren’t that much better to warrant the extra expense(IMHO). I also got a pedicure recently but decided to give the toes a rest from polish and he charged me the same price. Wasn’t a huge problem, but left a tainted impression. With all that said, they have one staff person who has given me one of the most meticulous manicures I ever received. It’s just difficult to get an appointment with her(name intentionally left out… sorry). Is a good place but I think their prices are just too high.

I love this salon! I woulnd’t even consider having a mani or pedi done anywhere else. I prefer this location much more than the one in Newton.

I love Lony Salon and have been coming up from the Vineyard for years, at least ten for mani and pedi once a month. Everyone is friendly and professional, a winning combination! The Salon is clean, organized and beside nail sevices Lonny does a variety of Spa services, too. Facials are great, waxing, too and Lonny applied my make up last week for a special event and it looked so great that I bought the make up line. I think the place is wonderful, maybe those negative reviews were at a different Salon.

Surprised at some of the low star reviews here — one mentioned 6 tables, I’m not even sure there are more than 4? In any case, I have always been treated very nicely here, I see Lony. She is an expert at nails and my nails are always even and with acrylics I can go three weeks in between appointments as she makes sure to start right at the cuticle. Also, she is skilled so honestly people never realize I have acrylics, they think I have shellac! I’ve always been treated very well here. Like another reviewer said, it’s not Daryl Christopher, but it’s clean, efficient and friendly and not overpriced, and I’m always greeted by name.

I am shocked that anyone could give any stars less than 4 on here about Lony Salon. They are fantastic! Every time I make an appointment I am seen immediately. I walk in, EVERYONE greets you, even if they don’t know you and they say Pick a color and address you by name. It’s almost like they memorize their appointments for the day and just know who you are instantly. Wendy is great, she’s my new manicurist. She makes my visit very personable every time. And Lony the owner is fantastic and so welcoming! Mani, Pedi and Waxing. All 5STARS! *****

Great, inexpensive pedicures here! I have been going to Lony’s for many years for pedicures(first at their Nonantum location and now Watertown). Normally I wait to see Wendy. If she is not available I wait for Lony. This is not a spa, just a nail place. I do love me a spa pedicure but don’t often want to spend the time or money so I mostly end up here. Compared to a pedi at, say, Daryl Christopher in Waltham, I may not leave here with the same zen feeling but at least I didn’t kill 2 hours of my day. Lony’s is very professional compared to some others in the area. The place is super clean, always. Decent mag selection which is a must for a pedi spot! Wendy and Lony always greets me by name and ask about my kids. They even suggest new colors they think I will like. I notice the negative reviews here are from a number of year ago so maybe there was a bad technician working back then. At any rate, my experience here has always been positive. The *one* pedi I got that was not up to my high standards was with the older, heavyset woman. It wasn’t terrible but I didn’t care for the way she cut my cuticles so I just decided I would not see her in the future. By no means was it a deal-breaker. All in all, well worth what they charge for a pedi and WORLDS above the other spots in Watertown so def check it out!

I’m shocked by the two negative reviews for Lony’s. Many of my gal friends and I frequent this place. Lony is a gem. Her four employees may not speak a lot, but they are by no means«unfriendly» as one reviewer put it(did you try talking to them?). I always ask for Wendy; she’s my favorite nail tech. The mani/pedis here are inexpensive, efficient, well done, and last about a week. They use only Essie an OPI products, and they always offer me recommendations when I’m getting ready for a night out. I’ve also had waxing services performed here(always with Lony) and the results have been excellent. This isn’t a day spa, so if you’re looking for cucumber water and porcelain soaking tubs, and you can book in advance, look elsewhere. If you need a solid, inexpensive, walk-in nail service in Watertown, welcome to Lony’s!

Rushed through my manicure. SOUNFRIENDLY. Put on only one thick coat of polish to save time, leaving my nails to smudge since they couldn’t dry properly. Also got a wax which she charged me $ 5 over the quoted price and left lots of hair. Never again

STAYAWAY from this place is my review in a nutshell I went there for a pedicure as my regular nail salon was on vacation. Upon walking in the salon I felt like I was walking in a manicure/pedicure factory. Tables lined up and chairs in a row with about 6+ people working there. The woman who did my pedicure didn’t even smile let alone open her mouth to speak. could she??? After a brief soak the clipping/filing started, quite painful I might add and with the speed of lightning. The she brushed on the polsh and I was done. don’t think the whole thing took 20 min. Upon looking down at them while I was seated they didn’t look even… AND when I got home and closely inspected them. the WERENOT even, let alone filed smoothly. To top it off, I developed an infect in my toe about 3 days later as that particular nail was clipped improperly and poked in my skin… After a painful appt to podiatrist and a piece of my nail removed(OUCH!!) I went back to confront Lony(owner herself). She told me she personally would redo the pedicure, after I declined and said I would never be back, she asked if I wanted my money back to which I replied…“would you expect that I would say no???” My refund and I left NEVERTORETURNAGAIN.
