I’ve been shopping here for over 7year almost every two weeks. Last week they were out of the my usual cheese and the owner suggested a different kind saying its the best. Since I shop there all time I went with his suggestion and the cheese turned out to be horrible! After 7years of shopping here this the first time I was unhappy with my purchase! I called him and asked when my cheese is coming in so I can get that instead and I received the worse customer service. He told me while yelling that«you’re the first person that doesn’t like this cheese and thats not problem and I don’t know when that other cheese is getting in!!!» — I get it if I was exchanging something every time, then yes he would go out of business but Ive been supporting this local persian business for 7years an this was the first time I had this incident!!! I’m extremely disappointed in the owners disgusting attitude and will never shop here!!!

I love Persian food almost as much as I love Korean food. After blowing large sums of cash at Molana’s Restaurant(the best Persian food in Boston), I finally decided to make some of the stuff myself. But where the heck was I going to get Persian cucumbers? The answer is Super Hero’s. No joke. I think I’ve passed this place hundreds of times, but I had no idea it was a Persian market. Maybe I never noticed because I’m not Iranian. I love this place. The moment that I walked in, the owner’s face kind of lit up. Hey, I’m sure that he doesn’t see too many East Asians walk into his place. But the fact is that Persian food is the bomb. And when I started rapping off a bunch of Persian dishes that I love, he became even more friendly because he knew that I was the real deal. This place reminds me of the types of tiny markets I grew up seeing everywhere. There are«Mom-and-Pop» stores, and then there is this store which is about half the size of a small convenience store. But the selection is excellent. I didn’t expect the Persian cucumbers to be good, but they were, especially when I used them to make Mast-o-khiar. The first of many Persian dishes I am going to learn to cook this summer. And the other thing is that the owner is one of these old-world guys who wants to do things honestly. A 2-pound tub of yogurt, dried mint, and the cucumbers were all priced reasonably. Normally, I would say that if you want to support independent store owners, then grit and bear the higher prices and buy from them instead of the big supermarket chains. But since the prices are so competitive at Super Hero’s, I just have to tell you that you should go here to shop for your Persian food. I’m all about supporting the small shopowner, but I’m even more in favor of supporting the small shopowner who runs his store with integrity.

This was known as «the Iranian store» to me as I was growing up… From memories of going there to buy the latest Iranian cassettes to pigging out on bastani ba noon(Persian ice cream sandwich on wafers) with my dad, aghaye Khachetorian’s store will always have a special place in my heart.

I go to Super Hero’s frequently. It has different kinds of bread that I like. I love saffaron in my food, and this is the right place for it! you can also find a tasty yougurt there. The salesman is nice, but not always so friendly!

I’m surprised that Super Hero’s has not been reviewed yet. Its a great place to buy Persian groceries(you can tell by all the Persians and Armenians that frequent the store). They have a great variety of Persian sweets, cookies, pastries and pickles. The prices are pretty good. Its a one stop shop for saffron, dried lemons, sumac, zereshk(dried barbaries), and other condiments. For the Persian New Year(Nowrooz) the store gets filled with the best cookies and pastries ever. He also brings in other items for the haft-sin like sombol(hyacinth plants) and sabzeh(wheat sprouts).
