Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu is a grappling-​based martial art used to control an opponent in ways that force him to submit by using techniques such as chokes and joint manipulations. Controlling your opponent is generally easier on the ground than in a standing position, so many of the techniques used in Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu (BJJ) are centered around the skill of being able to take an opponent down to the ground and wrestle for dominant control.

A unique aspect of BJJ is being able to grapple with and submit a much larger opponent. This is done by utilizing superior leverage, grip and position upon your opponent. At the Brian Beaury Jiu– Jitsu Academy, students will start to gain a great understanding of the motions and boundaries of the human body, while getting the workout of a lifetime.

About Brian: Brian has been training for 7 years under Mike Wacker. He found Jiu Jitsu at age 17, and ended up quitting College Baseball a year later to pursue Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instead. Holds a 2 – 0 record in MMA, and 2 – 0 as an amateur boxer as well. Brian received his black belt 5 and a half years into training. Brian Beaury has trained and competed all over the world with some of the best teachers and competitors in the world.
