Dixon & Son’s Tire

I just left John at Dixon and Son’s Tire. What a wonderful business. They took care of our tire immediately! The tire they fixed was on a vehicle used to transport children with cancer to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford daily. John made sure that it was fixed and on the road fast. This world needs more people and business’s like Dixon and Son’s.

These guys are the best.
Quick service and they know what they’re doing.
One of the few shops around that stock tires for pickups, etc.

I had a huge nail/​screw in my tire for a few weeks and had gone to a tire shop to see what the [monetary] damage was going to be to fix it. It was much over what I could spend and had suggested I replace both front tires if I was going to do one to keep the treads, mileage, and wear on the tires consistent. It all made sense, but I couldn’t help feeling a little uneasy since I’m a girl who knows not much about tires, pricing and cars in general.
A friend of mine recommended Dixon & Son’s. I got my tire patched, no problem and at a fraction of the cost of the other place. Of course, it’s only a patch, but I was comfortable at this place. I felt like I was getting a good deal and was in and out within a half hour or less.

Good service. Fair pricing. Free rotations. Any size vehicle. They’ve won my business.

I called on a Saturday morning to see if I could get my two trucks in to swap the tires over. (I was selling one of them and just wanted the best tires to go on the truck I was keeping)
They said they close @ noon but if I got in by at least 11:30 that they could still get the job done. (I specifically asked about the time crunch to verify that they could get it done that day). So I drag the wife (who is reluctant due to our busy schedules) and the baby and drive both trucks from 10 miles away to DIxon Tire.
First off, once we parked the trucks and I secured the baby into the harness (strapped to my body and was no longer able to climb climb into the truck) one of the workers asked me to move my truck. To which I replied, «the keys are in it». I figured he would then park it where he needs it and since I had already strapped the baby to my body and all, it was obvious I couldn’t do it with out some work. The truck was officially in their hands at this point.
So the guy hastily climbs into my truck, starts it and floors the throttle and yanks the steering wheel like he is so put off by having to move my truck after I left it in their hands, He speeds off around the building, apparently to make a scene in order to get his point across. Me being a level headed person, I decided to just let it go. So we leave the trucks and go down the street for some grub. We return an hour later to find nothing done at all and the shop is closing!
They said «sorry he has to leave» (referring to the guy who was supposed to do the job). There were at least four people working there. You’d think at least one of them could do it. Not only that, if they were trying to make customers for life they would have made it happen, even if that meant the guy running the shop had to stay an hour late (it was a simple job). I mean, they assured me that they could get it done, even if it was after closing time.
So I’m out 2.5 hours of time by the time we return home, not to mention my wifes time, all the fuel it cost to drive two large trucks down there (40 miles round trip between the two) and it’s just no big deal to these guys. AT A MINIMUM they could have said «We’re very sorry we wasted your time, if you come back to us next week we will give you 20% off the labor to get you taken care of». But NOPE! They were just not really worried about whether or not I would return to their business. So I will not be returning there. Nor will I ever be recommending them to anyone.

If I could put negative stars I would. I took my boat here for an axle and tire repair and it took them a month to complete the repair. The worst part is after two weeks of my boat being held hostage my boat got stripped in their gated lot that has cameras and barb wire. They said they where sorry and they would take care of any lose I had and to get quotes for the needed repairs for everything that got stolen. I sadly left and got the quotes and sent them to Dixon & Sons tires. I had to call a bunch of times and Dusty Dixon finally called me back to tell me that their insurance will not cover the loss and Dusty said that Dixon is not responsible for anything. I would never send my worst enemy to have anything done unless they want their stuff stolen or vandalized.

These guys are great. Been taking my cars here for a few years. They also fixed the lights and brakes on my trailer.
Just had them make a house call to fix/​replace some tires on two tractors. Showed up on time, very courteous service, fair price, no games. No waiting, no forgotten verbal quotes, best place in town in my opinion.

We were on a family camping trip to Santa Cruz and we ended up needed 5 new tires for our 5^th wheel:(
Ask for John he saved our trip. He ordered the tires and got them there the next morning.
After getting the run around at the big name box stores in Santa Cruz. We got referred to Dixon and Sons tire by a previous customer who we just happened to run into in line. We are so happy that we came across you guys.

Dixon and Son as always came up huge for me. John and the boys were speedy and efficient as always, and talked me through any questions I had about my new rims and tires. Swapped all four tires out and was on the road enjoying my new set of wheels before I knew it. Highly recommend these guys for fast friendly service.

I went to Dixon tires for a tire I needed for my leased vehicle. I needed the exact tire that was on my lease, Dixon tire got me what I needed they were quick efficient and professional and very accommodating Thank you Dixon tire

John in the office ordered tires for me, got them the next morning. Gave me a good price too. Would have given 5 stars if they’d wiped off my rims and tires and sent me out looking brand new. Ladies like that special touch! :)

Was out of town and had my steering box break on my truck. Towed my truck here and they were great. Fixed my truck at competitive price and quickly. Only downside was when I got my truck back my clock spring (wire behind airbag) was broken as I now have an airbag fault.
