Haskin Custom Concrete

We had a terrible experience with Haskin Concrete! I would not recommend them to anyone.
We had a relatively small concrete job, mostly consisting of putting in curbs. Things start out well enough — the owner seemed friendly and knowledgeable when we meet at the jobsite. He didn’t take notes on the items we discussed, though since it was a small job, I didn’t think it was going to be a problem. Boy was I wrong!
When I returned to the jobsite after his crew had been setting forms for a few days, there were several things that were incorrect, including the shape of the curbs and that they had forgotten one important location where we wanted them to pour concrete. I thought things would be fine after I caught those problems, but I was wrong again! When they poured their concrete, they added curbs in locations I didn’t want, they had some side-​by-​side curbs whose heights didn’t match (and I had to pay my mason to grind and fix), and had forgotten to add pier support pads at the end of the curbs. And when they returned and added the pier support pads, they didn’t even bother coloring the concrete to match the rest of the concrete they had poured!
And to add insult to injury, they presented a bill for thousands of dollars more than we had agreed upon, including double-​charging for an item. What a mess!
