Rivas Tree Service

We had a tree pruned today and Rivas Tree Services did a great job! They were easy to deal with and very professional. We had gotten several other quotes and they were hundreds of dollars less expensive and did a phenomenal job. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Removed about ten small stumps and two major limbs from the honey locust tree that were too close to the house, for a price less than other quotes I got, and without sacrificing professionalism. All done with amazing efficiency.

I have to pretty much echo Garry R.‘s and Andrea R.‘s reviews. Nine big trees removed plus a large tree limb sitting on a cable wire. They also ground up a couple of stumps leftover from prior tree removals. If it wasn’t for the ground up stump mulch left behind (customary), you would never have known that Rivas — and the trees — were ever there to begin with. And the price was more reasonable than the other companies we contacted for estimates. Usually a lower estimate means a lesser quality but not in this case. Very satisfied.

I had two trees removed and five trees pruned by Rivas and his crew. The quote was reasonable and they yard was left immaculate. No garbage, no branches, no waste. The two trees removed the stump was ground.
They came when they said they would come and were fast and efficient. Definitely would recommend them and would hire them again.

Shortly after I moved into my wooded lot, I contracted with Rivas Tree Service for some major tree removal and trimming. A number of the trees that needed to be taken down were within 10 feet of the house and in two cases leaning over the roof of our home.
The morning of the job, the owner (Al) and his crew arrived on time and began the job. Unbelievable — they were like a synchronized swim team with all six people working in unison to begin to take the trees down. The trees were easily 70 feet high and there wasn’t so much as a branch that fell on the roof. Everything was done safety; on time; and exactly as agreed.
Al was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the day and was very accommodating with a couple of last minute requests.
We subsequently had him back to do some additional work and were just as pleased the second time. A consummate professional — so much so that two of our neighbors also contracted with Rivas.
I would highly recommend Al and his team as they check all the boxes on Quality, Professionalism; Responsiveness, Customer Focus and with a sense of Urgency.

We had two dead trees on our property. Al and his crew of merry men removed the trees before they said they would. :)
Someone came out a few days later and removed the stumps.
A perfect transaction and job.
Just stay away from Al when he has a chainsaw in his hands. They don’t called him Al Loco for nothing! (Just joking.)

Unreliable — wasted weeks waiting for Al Rivas to do work. Finally had someone else do the job. Background: Estimate given by Al on 7÷18÷2015 with discussion to do work in the fall. Called him Wed 9÷9÷2015 after Labor Day to do the job. He left me phone message later in week to sign his contract and return. I signed it with «work to be completed by 10÷9÷2015» and mailed it to him Mon 9÷14÷15. Included request he call to schedule so I would be home when the work was done. Never heard from him. Called him Thurs 10÷1÷2015 and left message. He did not call back. Called him Mon 10÷5÷2015 and said the contract stated the work was to be done by 10÷9÷2015 and to call me. He did call later that day and said he would do the work the next Tues (10/​13/​2015) or Friday (10/​16/​2015) and he would call me later in week (i.e. by 10/​10/​2015) to firm up time. Never heard from him later in the week. Never heard from him on Tues 10/​13/​2015 or Friday 10/​16/​2015. I called another company and they did the job. In all fairness, Al did finally call on Mon 10/​19/​2015 and wanted to know if I was going to be home that day. As stated, told him I had given the job to someone else. Wish I had called the other company from the get-​go. Would have saved both time and energy not to mention re-​arranging schedules for someone who never showed up.

We used Rivas to remove some trees in our backyard and they were fantastic. I met them the morning they came out to do the work and the foreman had already scouted the yard. He was a great guy. They were fast, efficient, and the price was very reasonable. Out landscape architect also thought they were the best he had ever seen. I would highly recommend this tree service.

I never thought I would be so excited about a tree service company, but I am!
We had 3 trees that needed to be removed and two that needed to be trimmed back quite a bit. The team came out right on time, and got right to work, they were very professional and friendly.
We left for work and when we came home the trees that needed the trimming looked awesome and our yard was immaculate. Oh and their price was extremely reasonable.
Bottom line, I would HIGHLY recommend Riva’s tree service for any tree needs you may have. Great experience over all.
