Project recording studio for all kinds of recording projects; bands, choirs, solo projects, spoken word recordings; from professional to amateur projects. All styles are welcome. Tracking, editing, mixing and mastering are standard studio services, but also available are specialized services of musical arrangement, accompaniment, and transcription.

History

Established in 2002.

Begun by professional musician Mike Barden with a laptop and microphone, and grown to a full-​featured project recording studio, the studio has built its reputation on helping each artist achieve the sound they are looking for. The studio has served everyone from solo «karaōke» singers to local bands to community choirs to chart-​topping artists. Mike brings his rich background of real-​life experience and formal education to every project, helping artists of all kinds sound their best.

Business Owner

With formal training in Music Theory, Composition (Masters of Music, University of Illinois), and Audio Engineering (Audio Institute of America), as well as a lifetime of experience performing in classical, rock, jazz, and pop styles, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the studio.

A recording artist in his own right, Michael has built Muse Recording with the vision to help independent artists find their own voice in the world of music. Drawing from his diverse background, he is able to work in a variety of genres ranging from formal to informal, from secular to sacred, with an equal amount of sensitivity to the nuances of that style.
