Specialties

Built in 1868 by Jens Hansen, this building was a carriage factory and wagon shop. The Pub is now listed on the National Historic Register. The original exterior can be viewed on the front of the building, and is reminiscent of the carriage house and its motto, «Live and Let Live».

After purchase in 2004, the Pub founders envisioned a warm «gathering place,»

The Pub seats 55 in the dining room, 18 in the bar area and 18 seasonally in the courtyard. The Pub is available for private parties daily until 4pm or all day Sunday by reservation.

Our goal is to provide an eclectic «comfort food» menu, featuring local ingredients when available, while making our own breads and sausages, cutting our own meats, and preparing our own soups and sauces — wanting to «calm your soul and energize your spirit».

Thanks for your business and travel safely!

History

Established in 2005.

Built in 1868 by Jens Hansen, this building was a carriage factory and wagon shop. The Pub is now listed on the National Historic Register. The original exterior can be viewed on the front of the building, and is reminiscent of the carriage house and its motto, «Live and Let Live».

After purchase in 2004, the Pub founders envisioned a warm «gathering place,» and spent nine months constructing the pub, keeping the fieldstone walls, posts and beams intact.

The Pub seats 55 in the dining room, 18 in the bar area and 18 seasonally in the courtyard. The Pub is available for private parties daily until 4pm or all day Sunday by reservation. The «Snug», our meeting room, is located on the second floor, seating 32 for dinner or 50 for cocktails. The «Snug» is available by reservation and features historic post and beam décor, a

gas fireplace, flat screen TV, internet access and private restroom. This space is available for business meetings, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
