Go Loco Street Tacos & Burritos

I was hesitant to try this place but it was SO good! I had a 2 taco meal (ground beef tacos with cilantro and pico) with Spanish rice and black beans. They were out of refried beans which I would have gotten but I’m glad it worked out that way because the black beans were so tasty and likely healthier than the refried beans. They lost a star because the barbacoa and the steak did not look great (but I didn’t try it). The fajita chicken looked really fresh though (as did the ground beef) and the ground beef was excellently seasoned.
In short:
Pro: really delicious ground beef tacos with beans/​rice
Con: not everything on the line looked fresh/​appetizing.

Went and had the street tacos and their market corn. The street tacos had fajita which was tasty on corn tortillas and cilantro and onions. Overall they were OK at best. The corn had some white mayo stuff on it with cheese and some chili stuff. Corn tasted a little funny, maybe too much water left on. I may be a little too spoiled by the authentic vendors in Dallas that I usually visit like tacos from La Banqueta. Or the street corn you get from any of those vendors that sit outside of businesses.
Maybe I’ll try their breakfast tacos next time.

I was in the mood for street tacos, but didn’t want to drive to Red Oak. I remembered about Go Loco. I arrived and was greeted by an employee. I surveyed the menu, and finally settled on 6 street tacos. They had a special of 3 street tacos for $ 4.99. The guy put some oil on the grill and then placed the corn tortillas on for about a minute. He asked what kind of meat I wanted. They have fajita beef and grilled chicken. I picked the chicken. He scooped it onto the tortillas. He asked if I wanted onion and cilantro. Street tacos aren’t true street tacos without it, so I said yes. I paid and brought them home. They do have seating in their part of the gas station, but I needed to get home. The tacos were still hot. The chicken was moist and flavorful. I would go there again, but probably on their Taco Tuesday when the street tacos are only $ 1.
