Wayland Variety & Deli

So I’ve been in Wayland for almost 2 years and had never been here. It’s always packed with work trucks at lunch time, and now i know why. This place is aces. Awesome Boars Head deli, reasonable prices.

The best sandwiches in the Wayland area. The Siberian Trainwreck is a gem along with a couple other specialty sandwiches, but even simple things like a custom tuna wrap are very good. Staff is friendly — recommend calling in during lunch hour, but otherwise it doesn’t take long. Solid selection of convenience items and some popular beer brands as well.

Somehow they always seem to have what I’m looking for here! And the sandwiches are to DIE for! Really nice people behind the counters, and really great selection.

Great little deli and convenience store. Good mix of necessities, beer, wine, coffee, sandwiches, etc. Friendly people. Very easy to visit along with Village Bank, Royal Cleaners, and Wayland Sunoco.

The staff are nice and accommodating. They have some food, deli counter, sandwiches, stogies, coffee, soda, beer & wine. Conveniently located on the Old Post road (rt 20).
If in the area and looking for a bite to eat, the sandwiches are A-​OK… yup…

I was looking for a quick bite on a Sunday afternoon and happened to bump into this place.
I ordered the most popular sandwiches (italian and scandinavian?) and they both were delicious!
Next time I’ll skip the olive oil and vinegar.

Unassuming convenience store sandwiched (pun intended) between a gas station and a dry cleaner. Turns out these are the best sandwiches in the Metro West area and at ~$ 6 a sandwich, one of the cheapest lunches around.

I get the Lia’s Combo every time. I hear the Siberian Train Wreck is good too.

This one again was tried because of a glowing review of a friend. He said they have the best sandwiches, and he’s a tough critic.
Pulling up to the place, I was excited because it looks like a convenience store, but I knew better. It was slightly after «lunch» and the place was still busy (good sign).
So I look up at the signature sandwiches, trying to find a combination that works for me.
The nice lady behind the counter engages me with some chit-​chat and I mention that I am a first timer. She gives me a couple of suggestions.
I end up getting the «Alex» I believe its called. IT WAS DELICIOUS!
Corned beef with melted Swiss cheese on a braided roll with Russian dressing and pickles (i skipped the tomato and onion).
Just DELICIOUS!

The best place in town to get a sandwich and good prices too it’s about $ 7 for a large sub.

Great little hole in the wall. Looks like (and is) a convenience store from the outside but has a hidden gem deli inside. Best basic sub I’ve found in the Weston/​Wayland/​Sudbury area.

Best Sandwiches in the world!!! Plus if you like Candy they have the best selection in the world!!!

OK so this place is crowded enough during the week so i told myself i wasn’t going to do this.
They are a convenience store with a deli inside. Take out only, cash only too. They make, hands down, the best subs in the area. I have been working in the area for 6 years and no one comes close.
Try the siberian train wreck. If you like pastrami and corned beef.
