Not bad I guess. The restaurant is clean and spacious. However I did not like their service. I ordered a veggie omelette with cheese. The waiter brought me a omelette without cheese. When I told her she said that she did not know. Then she charged extra for the cheese even though she gave me an omelette without cheese. French fries were cold. I really did not enjoy it and probably will not go back.

Possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a diner. As I sit here waiting for our Father’s Day breakfast, it’s now 53 minutes and we have yet to eat. The only thing stopping me from making a scene is our father which we are celebrating in the first place, he doesn’t want me to make a scene. It took about 20 minutes just to get our drinks after we sat down. We have not been checked on. People have come and gone after us. Yet we are STILL here! I’m giving it about 5 more minutes.

I have been here a couple of times and always wondered why it was so empty. The food prices were good and the quality seemed to be pretty good. On my last trip I found out why. After ordering breakfast I noticed the fork that was on the table had pieces of food stuck between the tines. I asked the waitress for a new one and when she brought a new one it had food particles stuck on the flat part. She brought me a third that was ok. Then my food was delivered someone had put a spoon(presumably for my grits) right on top of the food in my dish. This spoon was disgustingly dirty and I sent the entire plate back. I asked to see the manager(who should have already made an appearance). I complained to him(I think he was the owner) and he seemed only interested in me keeping my voice down so other patrons wouldn’t here. He apologized and basically did nothing. The biggest issue I have with any food service is cleanliness. If my silverware has pieces of food stuck to it what is stuck to the plate under my food? What is the cleanliness of the kitchen area overall? I don’t go out to eat to get sick! When I paid my bill at the register, the manager didn’t take anything off the bill, not even a cup of coffee, but gave me a card for 10% off my next purchase of $ 30. Told him to keep it I will never be back.

It’s a coin toss whether or not the food here will be any good, no consistency with quality. I almost always order An omelet when I go to a diner — it’s usually a sure thing. The last few times I’ve been here, the omelet has been dry and tasteless(I order feta or Californian when I’m at alps). Once I complained and was told there was a new chef. So I came back and it was the same — I guess they kept the chef. Owners are very friendly, service is meh. Waiter usually gets at least one thing wrong. And when does a restaurant ever serve the ends from the loaf of bread for your toast? There’s a diner on every corner in NJ. I don’t plan on going back to this one.

Worst diner experience. For starters our waiter took our drink orders then left for the day. We sat for ten minutes before a new waiter came over to take our order. Mind you there was only one other couple in the whole diner. The food was not seasoned at all. The steak was over cooked. I sent it back. And didn’t want to get something else. I didn’t even get an apology from the manager. My dinner came with a complimentary soup and salad which they weren’t shy about charging me for since they couldn’t charge me for the steak. I won’t be back again.

If I could give a — star I would I’m staying at a near by hotel in NJ and because I’m 8 months pregnant I decided to order something online. I just received my food I have never been so annoyed in my life. I ordered a California omelette with extra bacon and to make my eggs a little bit soft, and for them to come with a fruit salad and instead there’s no bacon in my omelet, it’s extremely well done and they gave me left over cold potatoes instead of my fruit salad, my request was completely ignored. On Top of it all the delivery man demanded more tip which I did, I gave a $ 9 tip on a $ 38 meal that tasted absolutely horrible. I will never order here again.

My boyfriend and I were hungry after a comedy show in Jersey and we’re looking for someplace quick to eat that had a good selection so we chose Alps Diner. Little did we know the diner closes at 10pm unlike most diners. We arrived at 9:55pm and were sure we would be told they’re closed. But we weren’t! The owner greeted us greatly and welcomed us right in even though they were about to close! I was like wow what service! I ordered the grilled chicken panini with fries and the food was A+! The prices were reasonable also and the service outstanding! Very friendly staff and didn’t even Rush us out the door and said take our time. Very pleasant visit with great food and great employees. Define my recommend it!

I only use Unilocal to look at reviews, but in this case I will never step foot in Alps Diner again. Not that this was the overall issue, but quesadillas are fajitas supposedly? When I tried to get the waitresses attention she wouldn’t come over to the table, but just stared and had a face on. I pointed at my dish and mouthed that it wasn’t what I ordered she finally came over and told me she’d just charge me less. I politely told her I didn’t want quesadillas and ordered something else. 10 minutes later she brought out the same quesadillas, cold, with steak and chicken and said oh this is how the fajitas come! Dropped them off, and left. Terrible service, cold quesadillas, and a funny spin on fajitas.

Stopped in this weekend for the first time and will certainly return. Friendly staff, good meal — and even my picky friend who likes their eggs cooked a certain way, was very pleased! I would highly recommend giving this diner a try!

This was by far the best dinning experience we’ve had in a while. We were greeted by two friendly diner employees. We were quickly seated with a smile. We felt at home and very love(Valentines Day). Our server, Rosa M was exceptionally accommodating and excited to make our dining experience pleasurable. Our food was cooked to perfection. We ordered Caesar Salads, Roasted Lemon Chicken w/Broccoli and Mashed Potatoes, Pancakes and Bacon and Chicken Tenders w Fries. To end a perfect Valentines Evening, we enjoyed decadent desserts– Red Velvet Cake, Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon Coconut Cake and Carrot Cake. They were soooooo moist and delicious. Special shout out to our server, Rosa! Because of you, this was a Valentines to remember. In the words of Arnold Swaltzeneger, We Will Be Back!!!

We love this diner. The owners are always present, extremely friendly and work very hard to make their customers happy. The service is friendly, attentive and quick. The food is very good. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and have no complaints. They even deliver that’s a big plus for us(extra star) The Soups are great!!! I really enjoy their split pea. Also very friendly at checkout. Well behaved kids might be offered a lollipop(only after they discreetly check with the parents) This is a good diner!

Been here a few times recently. The food is good. The staff is extremely nice. Prior to dining in I had only had delivery from here which was good as well. Additionally, if you give your email address at the cashier you will get all kinds of specials and coupons which have been a great deal. The employees are what made the place for us. This place is formerly a burger joint but now its much much better. Its also not as crowded as most local diners, which is good for the customers not necessarily for them.

Great food and the staff was very friendly! I had a Greek salad with shrimp and chicken noodle soup. Everything was delicious and the portions were more than satisfying. Would recommend this to anyone in the area.

I went there on Monday October 19. I had a coupon they sent me via email. 15% off, After ordering a Swiss Cheese Club sandwich, that had no bacon? Why I do not know… I went to pay for dinner with the 15% off coupon only to be told that the owner was not in and I could not use it? I will never go back. we were the only 2 people in the diner from 5:30 — 6:30pm, stay away, from this dive, wait for the next owners to take over.

Came here looking for the boardwalk fries but the owner didn’t know what I was talking about I guess new ownership. Anyhow the food was good and the owner was really nice. We ordered a cheesesteak and a Fuego burger which was delicious.

Wow. Compared to other eateries along this route. This place is really bad. The staff was very greeting but that’s the only reason I gave two stars. I didn’t come here to socialize rather eat. Feeding Is the sole purpose of a diner. My pancake was tasteless. BLT was ridiculous and toast was burnt. Smh, how can anyone mess that up. You set it and forget it. Again I will never recommend this place to anyone. I’d just warn them.

Good food, with some creative lunch specials at very reasonable prices. I tried the chopped Israeli salad with grilled chicken and a light vinaigrette dressing. It was pretty good, although I asked for some extra dressing because the original amount tossed in, was minimal. My colleague had a good-looking omelet with hash browns. There was a lot of food there — probably a three egg omelet — but it was also overcooked, and not very fluffy. In summary, the Alps diner offers friendly service, and a good value for the dollar. It’s not gourmet diner food, but as long as you know that going in, you’ll be happy.

I guess the key word for our first impression is «disappointing.» We were fans of Burger Deluxe, but this place is a far cry, from food to service. It took so long to get waited on, that the owner comped us some chicken soup.. .that was barely warm. To take our order, he pulled up a chair and sat with us. Really? Service staff seemed not to have much of an idea which territories were theirs, giving the impression that there was no management at work. We found the food unimpressive, and until they iron out the problems, we won’t be back. But we’ll keep checking Unilocal

So if you want a MUSHROOM in your regular hot tea(even though I ordered decaf) and an EYELASH in your undercooked or raw omelette with no pepper or onions, only weird tasting meat in it then THISISTHEAMAZINGLYSTELLARPLACEFORYOU!!! I understand you’re a new restaurant but all the more reason why you need to be more careful with what food you prepare for your customers to ensure that people will return, and we most definitely WILLNOT and hope you don’t bother either!
