I honestly used to love this gym. I pay the membership where classes, tanning, and the «whole» gym are included. HOWEVER they have completely closed off the large room where they do classes. Obviously if there’s a class in there I wouldn’t go in to do extra workouts when other areas are not available but no one is in there at night and they have put up a sign stating no one is allowed in there. I called to ask about this and they basically said those who work there have been complaining because people leave equipment that is brought in and do not return it to its proper area. How about putting up a sign that says «please clean up after yourself and put back the equipment you brought in.» I know it’s a smaller gym and I’m not looking for a «womans» area like they have at LA fitness but when it’s crowded and you want a place to do your workouts and it’s bigger, thats the place to go. They also have another area closed off for personal trainers and their clients. Please tell me why I am paying for everything when basically half the gym is inaccessible to me? That’s insane. They also shut off their steam room what it seems like after 9 – 930 when they close at 11. It’s laziness and its a waste of money.

i came here on a guest pass, and have mixed feelings about this gym. What I like are the variety and amount of classes. They have all the latest trend classes. the instructors are super human. lol I also like that the classes are only 30 minutes long.
What i dont like is that the gym is very small so it seemed crowded. But the worse part is that the bathroom was filthy. Mildew smell, overflowing garbage, tissue on the floor. Horrible.
I live pretty far and chose not to join because I couldnt see a 40 minute ride for a subpar atmosphere.

This place is awful! I had been a member of crunch for over 3 years. The last 2 years with them were the worst. First of all I am a frequent flyer and I called to freeze my account to come back and find out I had been paying for the two months I was out of the country. Also The gym is dirty and disgusting. And the breaking point was this last time I got charged 47.59 for having asked one of the staff members to cancel my account. And to my surprise they never did. When I got a letter from abc financial I called crunch. The customer service is awful I was very disappointed on how the so called manager Patrice spoke to me. She was screaming and saying that I needed to listen and I was responsible. She is rude and lacks the concept of humility. The staff is inadequate and the customers have to pay for it. Patrice told me she was doing me a favor for taking off the service charge yet I still got stuck paying for another month I didn’t go. Word of advice never go there.

The equipment and the facility are respectable. What they really fall down on is cleanliness, which I would give a D.

Trying now via groupon with other family members. Crowded, grimy, equipment all clogged together and often have to wait or work in. Front desk girls look like they could care less who walks in or out. Young-​ish college-​y and 20-​something crowd… Sticking with LA Fitness… Cleaner, bigger, more equipment and room to breathe. More expensive but u get what u pay for.

I really wanted to love this gym. I used to work out here when it was World Gym years ago. I was disappointed from the start and decided to cancel my membership and my wife’s membership after a few months. I came in and spoke with a teenager behind the desk about canceling, filled out the form, and thought that was it. It wasn’t. It took a total of 5 times over 6 months to have them stop charging me. I was continually promised it would be processed and it wasn’t until the 5^th conversation. I was also promised a manager would call me about a refund for the charged months I didn’t use. That was a few months ago, and that never happened either. While this is the most affordable gym in the area, you’re better off spending a few extra bucks elsewhere for a better experience.

I came here on guest pass. This place is really small compared to the gym I go to. They have a few machines I would like my gym.
The bathroom is considerable cleaner than my gym. It does have a bleach, mildew smell. Every few locker is a full size locker, very convenient especially if you share a locker with your buddy.
This gym has a family atmosphere. When I was there, the age range of the people were from high School to social security. Less meat heads than my gym.
My friend likes this gym because there’s a tanning room members can use. I’m not that kind of person so that doesn’t matter to me. The big con for this place is the small size and the closing time is normally at 9pm.
The juice bar is pretty cool. But I don’t think it was open when I was there. It’s long and you could sit at the bar and relax before you rush back outside if its too cold.

I like the set up of the Cardio Equipment and the variety. Two things I have to complain about: 1– The sauna is ALWAYS broken. 2– Bad idea with blocking off the free weight section for personal training only… you need to come up with some type of compromise for those who aren’t signed up for personal training… There is barely any space as it is!

I’m really disappointed how this gym became so terrible. I used to go to world the owners before it was crunch I came 6 days a week 7 if I could and I was obsessed! The trainers were awesome the ambiance was like a real gym. Now it’s a clown gym– anyone who doesn’t work out come checkout crunch it’s your kind of gym. The classes are so over packed you have to get a flyer and sign up before (and there not even worthy of that) also the machines are dirty the mats smell/​look like they’ve never been cleaned. I went for the LAST time ever today the air conditioning was leaking ontop of the entire gyms head. So gross this place should be shut down.

Owners Pay Attention: Something has to be done about the cleaning of this facility. Once in the almost year I have been here (time of day varies) have I seen a single «cleaning person.» Said cleaning person was on her cell phone and used the equipment more than she actually cleaned it. Paper towels are discarded on the floor and are not picked up for days. The stench of urine seeps from the floor mats. The Women’s locker room is filthy with a mildew stench coming from a water leak near the sauna. Just because your gym offers a lower monthly rate, does not mean you should sacrifice hygienic practices. I have referred 4 people to this gym for personal training and monthly memberships because I do value the variety of equipment and classes you offer. Time to start cleaning up, before your customers start packing up and heading across the road.

Crunch is an absolute joke.
Another reviewer mentioned the «peak»… that lasts from about 3 — close. It’s absurd. A few of the people there are serious about their workouts, but a vast majority of them go just to socialize with friends or just to have an excuse to wear Nike Pro spandex shorts with low cut neon tank tops. This can get really frustrating when you want to use a machine where 4 high school girls are sitting around just to gossip about the «cute» football player who’s actually try to work on his fitness. And yes, it’s nearly impossible to find something to do during the peak hours. You’ll probably get so frustrated and just leave.
Anyways, besides all that, the machines look like they are falling apart half the time. And when they are actually broken, they take FOREVER to fix. Anybody who has gone there long enough knows about how long it took to fix the steam room. Two years ago they guaranteed new equipment, and it took so long that honestly I don’t even know if they came… because I quit.
I never took a class, but they all seem way too overcrowded. Also, the music from the classes is so loud that it pours into the rest of the gym. If you’re close enough, the conflicting sounds between the class music and the gym music is really a killer, even if you have headphones in.
Just don’t go. See your way to LA, Retro, or Planet Fitness for a better investment, based on what you want out of your workout. Just… STAY AWAY FROM CRUNCH!!!

First off let me start off by saying this gym is reasonably priced. With that, I let a lot of things that I wouldn’t typically let go, run by me without any complaint. For example: I am a peak plus member at the gym meaning I am eligible for ALL classes, every time I attempt to scan my card and get a spin pass I feel like all the front staff are questioning my eligibility for the class. I’m not sure if its a racial thing or not because I feel like I am the only one they stalk while signing up for the class. I just smile and say yes I am a peak plus member when reality that pisses me off. Secondly, the child daycare sucks. The staff are always sitting at a table in front of the room texting, and talking to each other while kids are whacking each other and running around like maniacs. Because I only go to the gym for about an hour I figure what can go wrong in one hour? I was soo wrong. I took both my children to the gym daycare and when I came back only one hour later, one child was missing. WTF!!! I ask the staff and they had this dumb look on their faces like they had no clue where the hell she was. Mind you my missing daughter is 2! I run to the bathroom which was closed shut, and she was there shivering in a corner hysterically crying ! Honestly it took everything in my body plus the help from the man above not to flip out on these idiots. When I asked what happened one of them replied” oh she asked to use the bathroom and she knows how to use it by herself”. Oh really, my daughter cant even reach the door knob, and you are going to tell me she can use the bathroom alone? Did I mention she is only 2? I went home and asked both my daughters what occurred one said the monster teacher locked her in the bathroom and the daughter that was locked in the bathroom told me she couldn’t get out and she had been knocking and knocking. I called management I spoke to someone named Chris although he was nice and apologetic he said he would speak to the staff. I really doubt he will do anything about the situation when I heard the tone in his voice. I honestly think these two should be fired ! I would not trust these two with a pet rat. IF you love your children don’t send them to this gym daycare !

This facility is really disappointing. It has a lot of potential too. The cardio equipment is fairly up to date and they have a lot of variety. They have a good free weight area too, although on the smaller side. However, the gym is absolutely disgusting. I have never seen a maintenance person there and there have been times that I didn’t want to touch anything while I was stretching because there was a horrible smell coming from the mats. In addition, it’s super crowded. I expect that for a $ 10-​$ 20 a month gym, but the amount of people at times really demotivates me. And for the amount of foot traffic, they should really invest in a maintenance staff.
The classes are really good and I love the variety, but again, the equipment is filthy. And I’m really not one to be picky about that stuff, especially in a gym. People sweat, I got that. But you can often see the dirt and grime on the handlebars, seats, and mats. Overall disappointing. A lot of potential, but it seems that the owners just want to make money more than keep up a quality gym.

This rating is a three and a half star one. But you can’t do that. I have been at the club since November 2013, so any previous problems, I can not comment on here.
It is hard to park at peak times, even though the lot seems like it is big, it is not because there are all of these signs saying you cannot park by the pharmacy, etc.
Peak is always going to be crowed. That is why they call it PEAK! However, it is never that bad that I can not find a machine (that works) or room in a class.
For the price this is a great deal! I pay $ 10/​month to use the facilities. No classes or other perks. Big deal. I think it only cost between $ 30-​$ 39 for everything! Classes, childcare, tanning, guest passes, and use of any club. I did not need that so I get the bargain price of $ 10. Great variety of equipment. Some need and get fixed. Usually, timely. I see the guy always cleaning. They have had a little crack-​down lately so that even better.
Lots of cardio with tv screens, and the ones that do not have many big TV’s to watch.
When I first joined, I tried some classes. The cycling SUCKS! They are so bad AND DANGEROUS. But other people seem to like it.
The Contact Kickboxing is very good to excellent. All of the instructors really give pretty well formatted classes. Whether you like there style is a matter of taste. They have a variety of other classes too.
The locker rooms look big but get really small at peak, when everyone is showering.
It’s not like there is anything better for the price!

This gym is getting worse by the minute,
Dirty & overcrowded. A lot of the equipment is not working properly. Most of the Precors have screens that do not work properly. Broken stair climbers, bikes it never ends. Some of the padding on the weight machines are old, dirty and worn down. They have closed off a large portion of this very small gym for training only. The very small area we have for free weights & mat work is disgusting. Poorly run gym, no question. Maybe Crunch Corporate needs to be enlightened.

I have been working out at Crunch for over a year now and have had a very positive experience. Personally, I knew I needed the motivation of a personal trainer to establish a feasible and regular fitness routine. My trainer, Bridget, is awesome! Even on days we do not meet, she sends workouts to complete throughout the course of the week that I can do on my own time. Thanks to her, I will be competing in my first mudderella competition in May! I also enjoy taking the classes that are offered at Crunch. The instructors I’ve taken classes with are very motivating and provide challenging but rewarding workouts week after week. The classes and gym itself are often crowded, but that is to be expected at such a low monthly rate and convenient location. I’m not sure why people have commented so harshly with regard to the cleanliness and staff. Perhaps I’m just biased based on my positive interactions with the trainers and instructors. I also do not use the showers or locker room facilities very often because I live very close to the gym and go home immediately following workouts to wash up. It does bother me too, however, when clients fail to wipe down the equipment they use – but that is not an issue that is exclusive to Crunch. As mentioned in previous comments, I think the layout of the gym is functional. Yet, more space could be made for those who would like to use free weights or just perform body weight workouts that do not require equipment. Overall, I would recommend the premium membership package and/​or personal training program.

The only good thing about that gym, is steam room (if its working), and price. All they care about is people that go there for personal training, that’s it. Just get rid off that bar area and turn it to workout space. For now it’s just a waste of space, since its impossible to get a shake, even if there’s like 6 employees behind the counter!

I don’t understand some of these reviews. It’s not a giant gym, so there will be some crowding. They just got all new equipment, but I do wish they had more spray bottles and that it was mandatory to wipe down equipment when folks are finished. I don’t think towel service is really necessary although it’d be nice if there were towels. Overall it’s a nice if you want to work and that is your goal. It’s a no judgement place overall people are nice. If the gym was empty then that would be concerning. There’s no need to rate a gym low especially if someone who doesn’t look like you wants to be healthy too.

2 stars and dropping fast as management does not seem to care. The place is getting dirtier and basic services such as tissues, paper towels, soap and clean showers are hard to find. This is exactly what you would expect from $ 9.99/mth. Bring back World.

Starting to get very crowded. I’ve seen people turned away for the classes in the evenings, and those who want to get in to the class must show up 20 mins ahead of time. Seems like a lot of people are taking advantage of the affordable dues.
You’d think that with all the new cash, there’d be more attention paid to cleanliness, but no… there’s a lot of dust piling up on railings, sills, etc. Hand soap dispensers are more often empty than full.
The music is often too loud, to the point that it drowns out my own music playing through my earbuds. When there is a Zumba class they leave the door open for all of us to hear… not considerate.
On the plus side I do like the low lighting and they the split-​level floor plan, in that different areas are sectioned off from others, but still easy to reach.
