Worst service, went back to purchase lease car what they promised on the phone its complete different. First of all they had no explanation why they charged 3600 more on the original bill, which I think its my mistake. I admit it. But with 70 000 miles on car your interest rate goes upto 8%. Yes, excellent credit above 750. I have been driving and buying and leasing the car for over 15 years. Dont know when bank has started charging for over miles. Do not even deal with these people. One of the most unprofessional dealership I have dealt with in my life.

Working with Open Road Acura of Wayne has been absolutely awesome! I love the friendly, laid back atmosphere at the dealership. I like how everyone from management to sales to the service department are helpful and honest. There is nothing worse than a high pressure sales experience. Fred Hill was one of the most informed, articulate and savvy salesman I’ve ever met. I went in expecting to purchase a used vehicle. I didn’t even want to consider a new vehicle thinking it was out of my price range. But Fred took the time to give me all of my options and was never pushy. I ended up getting a brand new car that I LOVE and more importantly, one that I can afford! He even took the time to make sure I knew how everything worked and was set up properly as far as connecting the blue tooth with my phone, etc. I highly recommend Fred Hill at Open Road Acura. It was worth the hour drive to get there made me feel comfortable and that I made a sound investment! See you in 3 years Fred!

I called regarding an Acura ILX, I spoke to Melissa who was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I would recommend Open Road Acura of Wayne and Melissa to friends and family seeking a new vehicle.

Service department is the worst. Very rude, unprofessional and untrustworthy. The service manager, Shawn, has learned nothing about customer service. The technician was supposed to look at a simple stereo audio issue. He literally did nothing because the car is still under warranty and lied to me. The problem was fixed at another dealer with no sweat. Luckily there are many alternative Acura dealers in the area.

Plain thieves. They attempted to steal my money. Beware. Stay away.
I did B-​1 service on my Acura here. This type of service includes tire rotation. After I drove off the dealership — the TMSP (tire sensor) warning came up within 30 min of driving. I called the dealership, informed of the problem, scheduled the appointment to come again to check on the problem.
Service advisor Mohammed told me that the sensor on on of the tires is not reading because, according to him, I must have «bumped» the car within few minutes after the service was done. He didn’t want to accept a simple explanation that tire sensor going bad within minutes after tire rotation apparently has something to do with tire rotation. Mohammed said I have to pay $ 66 for new sensor + $ 100 for labor out of pocket. I left and I am never going back.
Another Acura dealership in the area repaired the issue for free. They said it is covered under the warranty (my car is less than 1 year old). They told me the sensor needed to be «relearned» (whatever that means). No parts were replaced.
Beware. Stay away from Open Road Acura of Wayne.

Went and test drove a new MDX. Came to an agreement on price and terms. When time came to go and purchase the vehicle, the monthly payment was $ 62 more than what they had quoted me. They stated that they couldn’t honor the quote they gave me (although I got it in email) due to it being a different month. I told them prior to our first conversation that I would be coming back in two weeks to complete the deal. First visit was January 26 last visit was February 1^st.

Awesome place. I always service my car here. Great people from top to bottom, especially Service and Parts. There are two Acura dealerships closer to me but I’d rather come here because of the customer service. Free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bagels, tv and wifi. Easy to get to as well. Other dealerships are cramped and confusing. This one is tops.

Absolutely appalling service center. Would give zero or negative stars if possible. I made an appointment for a simple oil change for my Acura MDX. It was taking unusually long– about 1 hour 45 minutes passed. They bring me out to the service garage to inform me my oil pan is leaking and the bolt broke. Well… You couldn’t have told me this sooner? On top of that my oil change wasn’t even started. They broke the bolt on my oil pan and asked to charge me $ 585 for a new one!
WORST SERVICE CENTER EVER! I brought the car in for an oil change for a friend. Glad I stick to German cars where service is excellent and timely. Wasted about 3!!! hours of my life and they are asking $ 650+ for repairs on damages they did to my mint condition MDX. NEVER RETURNING! After 2 hours they still couldn’t give me my damn car and was scrambling to find a new bolt to replace the old bolt that the inexperienced mechanic Brian (or whatever his name) broke by over screwing the bolt.
Run down, old service area, broken bathroom locks, coffee machine doesn’t work…
Cannot rant enough about this rude and wasteful service center. NEVER RECOMMENDING! Would never ever return or suggest a friend to come waste their time and money as I did. They were racist too– they think cause I am Asian that I am cheap and have no idea about my car, or cars in general. Gave me dirty looks, as if my money wasn’t as valued. Thought they could rip me off for something they broke.
Disappointed and dissatisfied. Cannot explain how frustrated and rude the whole experience was.

Car searching, I stopped here to test out the MDX. Lance (salesman) was very helpful, thorough, and didn’t rush me. He offered me a good deal and I took it. Other sales clients I dealt with at other dealers that day were short and didn’t see me as a serious customer. Overall, I had a nice experience at Open Road and Lance was super in his customer service!

I went to this dealership twice to get a price on an Acura RDX. I had already tested and decided on this car. Going in, I had asked the salesperson to give me his bottom price as I was ready to make the purchase. The salesperson gave me the typical song and dance the first time around, and never gave me a #. I went back a second time and again, more of the same. The whole time he was just trying to buy time and keep us in there for as long as he could and in the middle of the meeting he walks away to attend to another person WTF!!! I was so annoyed I walked out and went straight to the contender and purchased my car. Giving this dealership 1 star is being generous and only because 0 stars isn’t an option.

Open Road Acura struck me as the type of dealership that perfectly fits the mold of a stereotypically bad dealership. Naturally, we all have certain psychological responses to dealerships: they’re sneaky, they try to cheat you, they bait you into the dealership, etc. Fortunately, especially when dealing with luxury car manufacturers, this type of behavior has been better. Apparently Open Road Acura didn’t get the memo.
I stopped into the dealership to purchase a TL. I knew precisely what I wanted, and confirmed they had it on the lot before visiting. I had done my research; I knew the car’s value and my trade in value.
I mentioned to the salesperson that I wanted a relatively simple transaction. I didn’t need a test drive, I didn’t need an explanation of how the radio works, nothing. I was strictly interested in discussing numbers. If the dealership could meet my expectations, I would sign and buy on the spot. If not, I would keep looking, no hard feelings.
He agreed and we got started. I made my offer. He ran it past the manager. No dice. Ok, no problem. But wait, he insisted, he’ll try some more. Long story short, they tried to put me in a different car, the managers tried convincing me, etc. yet at no point did we arrive at a deal. They appraised the trade in, and perhaps unsurprisingly, they were WELL below blue book. According to the dealer, blue book is always inflated, so they use Galves.
Before leaving, the manager mentioned that I wouldn’t be able to find the deal I wanted anywhere. I challenged him, asking how he would respond if I did. He assured me he’d match it.
Well, found exactly the deal I wanted, and had emails to back it up. I should have just gone to the other dealer, but (1) it was about an hour further, and (2) I wanted to call Open Road’s bluff. I also had an ace up my sleeve.
Go back in, and not surprisingly, they can’t believe the deal. It’s impossible, unbelievable etc. I agree to come up a bit just to get the deal done, and even then, they fight it. Finally we come to terms.
Time for the trade in. They hit me with such an obnoxious low ball offer I couldn’t believe it. They gave me the story about blue book being overstated and to use Galves. What they didn’t know is that I had purchased a Galves membership, and gotten that value too. (yup, the ace up my sleeve lol).
Long story short, I was frustrated and basically went to walk out. The manager pleaded with me to give him some more time to work on his manager. I told him to call me if anything works out, he promised to call either way, and of course I got nothing.
I ended up at a Lexus dealership and let with a better car at a better deal. Basically, Open Road Acura not only turned me off to the dealership itself, but it also turned me off to the entire brand.
The only reason I gave two stars rather than one was because the dealership is a nice place, albeit the dealers are shady.

I took my 2008 TL Type-​S in for servicing (07÷15÷14) as I thought there was an issue with the brakes — I am very capable with cars but was unable to figure this particular issue out. They charged me $ 125 diagnostic fee and told me the issue wasn’t covered by warranty, which they explained might be the case, and I left at about 5:30pm.
The problem started when I got home and went to take a look at the brakes and fix the problem. The techs that worked on the car overtightened the lug nuts and stripped them — I left them on as to not cause further problems. I immediately called the service department and explained the issue at 6:45. They told me to bring it right over and they would take a look at it.
I arrive at about 7:15pm and speak with a service representative Tom. He rudely tells me he can’t help me and I need to come back tomorrow when the assistant service manager is in. Let me stress how aggressive and unprofessional Tom was — he says multiple times that the tech said it was fine when the car left and I need to leave and there is nothing he can do, even though I just drove 20 minutes over to the dealership.
My question to Tom was how would the tech know that the lug nuts were fine? Did he try to loosen them after he tightened the lug nuts? Of course not, that is ridiculous. I asked Tom if the tech could come out for less than a minute just to see how stripped the lug nut was, but Tom again refused and told me to come back in the morning.
So as I write this I await my third trip back to the dealership tomorrow morning where I attempt to resolve the issue that they caused. I will update this post tomorrow (07÷16÷14) after I see what actually happens.
Update (07÷16÷14): The service manager Mario was very helpful and apologized for Tom’s incompetence yesterday night. He had the techs look at the lug bolts and they replaced one that was damaged and made sure the others were working properly. Mario really was the saving grace here and I thank him for his help. Giving another star due to this interaction.

My family has been going to Open Road Acura for over 20 years now. 93 Legend, 97 TL, 04 MDX, 07 & 08 TL Type S… we’ve had a quite a few Acuras. Service dept has been fantastic. Xenia and Craig are super passionate about cars & bring that enthusiasm to their service. I’m typically distrusting of ‘stealership’ service depts, but OR Acura is the one big exception.

This dealership deserves no stars at all… do yourself a favor and don’t bother doing business with this place. Three hours of my life were wasted with this dealership. They make it seem like they are giving you a good deal but BEWARE. All other dealerships include all their fees except for sales tax and document fees in their bottom line price. The destination charge is always included. Not this dealership they give you their so called «rock bottom» price and then once the contract comes out they hit you with mandatory fees: destination charge, detailing fee, documentation fee that is $ 50 – 100 more than any other dealer, window etching, tire charge. So once all the charges are added in they are actually way more than other dealers around. Do your homework because this place is ripping you off. Not to mention the gimmicks they try to lure you in with. I received an email stating that if you purchased or leased any new vehicle you would receive an ipad mini. Well when it came down to that I was given all kinds of excuses as to why they wouldn’t be able to give me the ipad mini. They said do you want the ipad mini or a good price on the car (I received neither) they said it all depends on the money they make on the car if they give out the ipad mini. That sounds to me like false advertisement. The advertisement said ANY new purchase or lease. No where did it say depends on our profit margin. The best one yet was they tried to strong arm me into getting the colors they had available in stock. If I wanted the color I requested they would charge an extra $ 300 to get it for me… never encountered that at any other reputable Acura dealership. All that said I walked out of this place. Management treats the sales people poorly. I actually felt bad for our salesman. I hope this review helps others because I wish I had been forewarned.

Service is overpriced compared to other Acura dealerships. Definitely call around for best price. The A1 service costs $ 95 here compared to $ 59 at another Acura dealership!

Great customer service. Dealt with Damian (finance manager), Carl (sales manager) and Lance (salesman). The price was good. The customer service was really stellar. This is the first time that getting anew car was not aggravating. I’ll be back in 36 months.

I purchased my certified car here a couple of years ago. I always get my repairs/​maintenances done here. There is a Keurig in the waiting area with TVs. I think there is free wi-​fi but I never used it.
I always get notified for additional work that needs to be done. They are work that never cost less than 500 dollars. If you schedule work and drop it off early enough you may get a loaner if your over 24 years old.
Once the work is complete they will wash and vacuum it.

I’ve gotten my car serviced here and I have to say how nice and accomidating the customer service is here. Even though I live closer to the East Brunswick Open road location, i’d rather bring it here because they just treat you better. Plus they match service prices from other acura dealerships :)
