Transit Systems moved an old Victoria from NH to IN for me. Their charge was reasonable and much lower than what I got from similar businesses. They were timely, easy to deal with and carefully protected the Victoria. When they arrived, they nicely carried the Victoria to an out building for me. I recommend them highly.

I have used Transit Systems a few times to ship items between Pennsylvania and New England. I especially liked the quick quote, which helped me to figure out what is worth shipping. The rates were very reasonable and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend Transit Systems, and will definitely use them again!

I had a handmade Rocking Horse that needed to be shipped from Tampa, FL to Redmond, WA. Transit Systems made it so easy for me. This was a big horse and Transit Systems instructed us how it needed to be packed, gave us a time and day they would pick up and the horse was on it’s way. It arrived on the day they said it would, completely intact without even a scratch. I will always be grateful as the horse is an heirloom piece and I had put off sending it for a couple of years. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company if you have something of value to move.

These guys did a great job for us – tough move made easier by their help! They did exactly what they promised when they promised to do it. No hassles whatsoever.

Transit Systems handles moves in many places besides Pennsylvania. We arranged to move a household in Lauderdale to a home in Redmond, WA. The shipment included many boxes with both fragile and durable things, as well as some peculiar items, like a burlwood coffee table and a pair of solid stone Foo dogs. The move was scheduled in mid-​November through terrible weather.
The weather made for a late arrival. We were told the driver slipped on the ice and broke his leg; another driver had to be brought in. There was a bit of breakage, but relatively little.
Transit Systems was recommended by the UPS store on 17^th Street. Working with both, we were able to coordinate a separate shipping of a half dozen boxes to Palo Alto as well as the larger home in Redmond.

Below is the review I wrote directly to Transit when they asked how my experience was:
Our experience was terrible.
1) The pickup was missed twice. No one called us to let us know, we were waiting around and had to call to find out what was going on.
2) We paid for «white-​glove» service which is listed as 15 days and it took over a month for our shipment to arrive.
3) We called repeatedly to find out where the shipment was. Twice they outright lied and said that the shipment arrived and we would be getting a call to schedule a drop off time. When we didn’t get a call, we called back and they said it was still in transit.
4) Most of the time we were told we would be getting a call back to update us but no call. We had to consistently follow up.
5) Several items were broken.
6) One of our items was separated from the shipment, so we had to follow up on that and schedule a second drop off.
Overall terrible service and experience.

I was moving across the country and needed to ship my bed. The only company I could get, without spending more than I spent on my multi-​thousand dollar bed, to ship it was Transit Systems. My only alternative would’ve been a uhaul trailer which I wasn’t about to do as the rain would’ve ruined the bed and my location didn’t have any uhaul trucks or enclosed trailers available. So I boxed it up and waited on the delivery guy that showed up ahead of schedule! After loading it on the truck with some effort away I rushed hoping to beat them to the other side of the country in the 3 day window they gave me.
I’m grateful they were there when I needed them. That having been said the 3 day window expanded a little to 5 days but still not such a big deal for me overall and I half expected it considering when I was having it delivered. When it arrived I was slightly worried about how damaged the box was that I shipped it in but the bed arrived intact so the box did it’s job. Reading other reviews I don’t know if this means I got really lucky or what, but I was happy.
After setting up my bed I noticed a small bulge on the edges and couldn’t quite determine why it was there, all I could imagine was weight had been stacked on the bed or it was in a large stack of beds. Thankfully after a week or so the bulge dissipated and the bed is more or less back to normal.
Overall I’d definitely recommend Transit Systems based on my experience with them and my only problems were along the lines of what I expect when I ship anything. If the occasion ever comes up again that I need freight shipping I’ll be contacting them first.

Transit Systems solved a problem just when we were ready to give up. My daughter who lived in California became ill and I brought her to Tennessee to live with me. She had ordered a specially made electric wheelchair which was delivered to a home in California after we had left. Trying to get it to TN became a frustrating nightmare. We tried Fed ex, UPS, Greyhound bus movers, furniture movers, handicap movers and all had some requirement that could not be met. Transit Systems whom I found through Google came to our rescue. They were professional for the pick up and the delivery offering us the «white glove» treatment. The chair arrived in perfect condition. Plus they charged less than previous quotes. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing something moved.

I used Transit Systems during 2 cross country moves since 2012 and had a great experience both times. The pricing is reasonable and they do a fantastic job with updating you on the status of your pickup/​delivery. Further, they took great care in shipping my furniture/​boxes– everything was in great shape once delivered. I highly recommend!

Couldn’t have asked for better service. We needed a way to transfer heirloom furniture from San Diego to Sacramento area. Transist really handled it perfectly. Pick up and delivery was smooth and on time and furniture in perfect condition.
By the way I just noticed someone said the good reviews were fake. That’s a rude comment!!!

I am a very satisfied customer and therefore, highly recommend Transit Systems, Inc. for small deliveries. I used them to move a room full of furniture including one antique and 12 boxes.
Transit Systems was one of several companies I contacted when I discovered the national moving companies were too expensive for small loads. The phone was answered immediately, by a person, and after providing the list of items I wanted picked up and delivered to a remote area in another state, I received a quote during the same phone call. The quote was competitive with all but the extremely high quote I had received from another small moves company.
Subsequent to the initial call, I called back several times with questions. Each time, I was able to speak with the same person who provided me the original quote except for one day when he was out. The person who handled that call was able to access my account and answer my question. I was always treated respectfully by everyone at Transit Systems and made to feel that my call was important. They wanted me to be comfortable with the process. It is for these reasons that I chose to go with them rather than the other companies I contacted.
The pickup was by two very polite young men who wrapped each piece of furniture completely in protective blankets, taping them securely. They arrived at the time promised and worked very efficiently without rushing or cutting corners. They carefully carried the furniture and boxes onto the truck and tightly secured them.
The furniture was delivered, during the timeframe promised, exactly as I had arranged. The day prior to the delivery, the recipients received a phone call confirming the time. The furniture and boxes were carried up to the second floor, as promised.
The furniture and boxes were delivered in perfect condition.
I will call Transit Systems the next time I need a furniture move. My experience with them couldn’t have been better.

Scheduled a pick up in Miami. They failed to even bother to go and pick up the furniture. A $ 10,000 dining room set. It was supposed to be here within five days. I called a week later to ask where it was.
They hadn’t even picked it up yet. Their excuse was that the warehouse was closed a few days after the pickup date. That’s because you were supposed to go there on the 22^nd. Not the 28^th.
When I asked why they didn’t go on the day we scheduled pick up, they had no answer. We actually called the Miami office to ask them as well. They didn’t know either. When I spoke to two different managers all they did was ignore everything I said and tell me my only option is to cancel or reschedule.
When I asked for compensation for their failure to deliver ($ 700 shipping fee), and the fact that I now have to wait three weeks for this furniture to arrive, she told me «no» and actually laughed. «Oh come on!» She said.. .. …. .. …
Unprofessional. I felt like I was dealing with folks who lacked understanding of basic right and wrong. There was no concern for rectifying the situation either. As a business owner, I go out of my way to fix the screw ups that my employees cause. I profusely apologize and always give free compensation or full or partial refunds for everything. Especially when I’m blatantly wrong.
With this company, be aware that you have no reassurance they’ll actually show up, and if they make a mistake, they will have zero interest in rectifying it.

I sold an enormous 10 piece Prewar rattan furniture set on Etsy and needed a moving service to deliver it to my buyer in Missouri– I searched Google and discovered Transit Systems Inc. on the first page of hits. I can’t say enough good things about this company, and especially to Thomas Abbott– My buyer and I were 100 percent happy as punch. Another reviewer before me listed the following pluses:
1. Quick, competitive quote

3. Expectation that my cabinet and documentation would be delivered in same condition
as it was when picked up

Driver was an hour late past 6 pm window. Took about 5 minutes of ringing to get someone to pick up the phone at Transit Systems to see where driver was. First ETA was twenty minutes but it turned out to be more like 40. I had to pay my extra help additional money to make sure my dad doesn’t have to load boxes by himself.
Transit Rep says terms and conditions say delivery times are not guaranteed, no recourse, no refund. Basically pickup times, which are already pretty broad, are not at all enforceable.
Keep in mind when you book. Hopefully the rest goes well.

I needed to move a 4-​drawer file cabinet and 13 boxes of confidential documents from Houston, TX to Dallas, TX. I researched three companies and I selected Transit Systems for the following reasons:

I’m happy to report that TSI — Transit Systems, Inc. delivered the 13 boxes and file cabinet in the time frame, cost and condition promised. I requested the white glove service which meant that the pickup in Houston and delivery in Dallas were performed by a two-​man crew. They carried the file cabinet and boxes out of 2^nd floor room of a house in Houston and put on truck. On the Dallas end, a two-​man crew carried the file cabinet and boxes into my house. My street is narrow and one lane was blocked by cars so they parked on the street perpendicular to mine and carted my stuff from the truck to my house without complaint and without charging additional fees.
I recommend TSI — Transit Systems, Inc to any business or individual who needs office equipment and confidential documentation moved from one city to another.

Awesome customer service. Helped me thru every step of the way! The tracking system was a bit weird to follow but when they stated it would arrive it did. The packaging of my items wasnt explained as far as how long it would take but it was only a weeks wait. My goods arrived great except my box sorings. The frame broke on one side. Seems when they tighten items it was too tight and thats how my frame was broken. Filed a claim and just waiting to hear back. Other than that I do believe they were a great company to work with and extremely helpful the entire !!

Communication at the beginning and for the following three weeks was excellent. I got frequent updates and then suddenly it went dark and I didn’t hear from anybody and I had to make contact and reach out. initially I was told my order would take 15 days. There was no discussion that that did not include weekends. after reading all the documents that I was emailed it said 21 days, workdays. However my item took longer than 21 workdays and it actually arrived on a Sunday. So I guess I was to consider weekends after all. However my item arrived undamaged. But the delivery man was alone and I had to assist him because I did not want any damage to occur and my husband had just had surgery. However I am grateful to have my item and I would use them again. I just think there was a mix up somewhere. My item came from Buffalo, NY to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Shipped a queen bed, box spring, and frame from Santee, CA to Bluefield, WV. All aspects of the transaction were handled professionally and courteously. It even got to it’s destination a day early!!!
Having never done this before, I was unsure what to expect, but they walked me through it and it was a breeze. I didn’t mind having to box up the bed because it saved a bunch of money.
Delivery guy was super nice, according to my son in WV.

I could not have had a better experience shipping my rug from New York to Florida than I did with Transit Systems. Nadine who took care of my order from beginning to end was extremely patient, knowledgeable and caring. She returned calls promptly and explained all possibilities to me. The trucking company they had service me was also terrific and the driver himself couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. The tracking information both the driver and Transit Systems provided me was spot on and I was able to know each day where my expensive rug was until it arrived on time at its destination.
All this at less than half (a little more than one third) the price of UPS! My highest recommendations for Transit Systems.

I inherited my father’s roll-​top desk & grandfather clock and needed to have them shipped from South Florida to New York City. I shopped around for the best bid for a couple of months and Transit Systems was the most competitive.
The process was very straight-​forward with no surprise costs. Their customer service was also very responsive and they provide you with emailed tracking details.
They picked up the furniture at my stepmother’s house and about three weeks later, my furniture pieces arrived on-​time and in perfect condition. Everything was very well wrapped and the delivery people were courteous and professional. Not a scratch on anything — very pleased!
