Warriors 3 Comics & Games

I’ve been to a few different gaming/​comic stores now, and they all have their own atmosphere and pros and cons. That said, Warriors 3 is a very friendly, laid back atmosphere I can’t really say anything bad about. The owners are personable, humorous, and knowledgeable. You’ll quickly become fast friends with them :)
It’s about a mid size store, though they do own the adjoining building that is used for a board game club and other occasional events. There is plenty of space to play Magic, and other card and board games; they get a good crowd without feeling overcrowded/​stifling like some other places. I will say though that the guy who runs the board game demonstrations, Bryan, is a major guru :) If it exists, he’s probably heard of it, and either owns it or is getting it. He’ll happily give you recommendations and is usually down to play something whenever he’s there.
That’s another thing that’s great about this place is the regulars. All comic shops have them, but again they differ from place to place. At Warriors you’ll find an age range of teen to middle age, really most seem to fall in older teen-​mid 30’s early 40’s which for someone like me in their mid 20’s is a good fit. I’ve had my share of teen drama; you won’t find that here. Like I said, people are easygoing, as another reviewer said «down to earth».
I could probably say a lot more but this review is getting long. O_​o Oh! the Bathrooms are clean and they have nice smelling soap in the ladies room :) And did I mention they also do a pod cast?
So, clearly I’m biased as it’s become my go to shop for the people alone. But I’m not the only one whose wrote a glowing review ;) Find out for yourself and stop by. :)

Friendly staff. More then fair pricing. If you love magic the gathering you with love this place. They have a large area for playing. Also if they don’t have what you are looking for they can get it for you at good price. Love this place!

I am a regular at this store for various things. New comics? Yes. Magic the Gathering tournaments? Yes! Heroclix? Of course!
This is by far the friendliest comic/​game store I’ve ever shipped at. I’ve been going here for just over a year now and feel right at home everytime I walk through the door.

Let me start out by saying this WAS not my everyday comic shop. I had only stopped in 1 other time, but had recently moved and hadn’t been back due to convenience of other shops in my area.
I followed the Unilocal advise, and headed over to this shop because it was said to be open until 12am. Much to my disappointment, the store was closed and as I began to get back into my car one of the owners was coming outside after spin final lockup. The owner said hi, and I explained how I came to pick up some books, and he noticed the disappointment that they were closed. The owner invited me in, turned off the alarm, and allowed me to shop at my convenience without once noting he had to go, they were closed, or trying to hurry me along. I found a few things I had wanted to pick up, and the owner even offered to order a book they were out of.
Needless to say, I was blown away at this act of kindness, and will be making this shop, my shop of choice. You can not rate this kind of customer service with only a 5 but that will have to suffice. I encourage anyone to stop by this shop, the Warriors have gained a new soldier, and I look forward to doing my business here.

Good times. Good people. Thats what this comic book store is all out. Amine clubs, role playing games, and big events, this is the place for bad-​ass geeks!
The staff is friendly and helpful and I have never met anyone I did not like at this place. If you need help learning a game, this is the place to go. Besides all the standard stuff a comic and game shop has, this place also sells some cool unique items. I snagged a pair of Cthulhu slippers!

Very nice group of guys who have a passion for all things geeky. Easy going great atmosphere. Not much of a back issue selection for comics but they treat you right if you set up a pull box with them.
They have weekly events, game nights etc.

Full disclosure requires that I reveal I know one of the Warriors 3 personally. He’s exactly the guy you’d want to open a comic book store.
They have a great selection of current comics and some great board games. They also have a decent amount of parking BEHIND the store (Park on Michigan Ave at your own risk).
There is also quite a good amount of room for playing Magic, or Dungeons and Dragons or whatever your pleasure.
I highly recommend stopping in.

Friendly people, helpful staff and fair prices! These guys know their stuff and TRULY take care of their customers with in-​store events and hosting local clubs. Best place in town for Magic and roleplaying, hands down!

When I was visiting Michigan last year, I stopped at Warriors 3 with my 4-​year-​old son, who is really into super heroes. I’ve been to comic book /​game shops before and have always felt slightly uneasy, like I don’t belong and everyone there knows it.
But at Warriors 3, everyone is very down-​to-​earth and willing to educate without even the slightest sense of condescension. I felt comfortable there and to be honest, the friendly staff made me actually want to learn more about the world of gaming.
The shop itself is clean, has convenient parking and a warm, fun atmosphere that makes you want to stick around long after you’ve acquired what you came for.
It feels like a party up in there!
