History
Established in 1980.
Graham’s Shoe Service first opened at our current location in Waynesboro in 1980. Originally owned by the Graham family, but managed by several different folks throughout the years.
In 1992, David Young walked into Graham’s looking for work, and found a career. He learned the trade and took over the business, managing for several years before buying the shop.
In 1996, the Young family bought the shoe shop, and decided to keep the name as Graham’s. Since then, the family business has continued to grow with more organization and advertisement.
Meet the Business Owner
David Y.
Business Owner
They call me Duffy, the Singing Cobbler. As one of only a handful of True Cobblers left today, I work hard to run a small business in the most sustainable and customer-service oriented way possible. I walked in looking for work back in 1992, and bought the place in 1996. I write songs, poetry, and play music, and enjoy fishing, eating sushi, and the occasional Guinness. I love my family dearly, and try to stay close to my West Virginia roots. My wife and I also enjoy playing with our dog and our cat, Miss Travis Bickle, and bird-watching, among other things.
