I second guess why I even attempt to make food at home with this gem so close and so good!

D’Amico is a solid option for fast, good eats around the Twin Cities. While they’ve done away with some of my favorite dishes from the predecessor restaurant — Tolouse(sp) in Gavidae — they still have several good options. Not cheap but not expensive, D’Amico is perfect for a fast meal yet it’s not fast food. If you’re a McDonald’s lover you’ll probably turn your nose up at the Epicurean delights found here. Mind you, this is not high dining, it’s fast food for those with a speakable palette.

D’Amico is the place you go to if you want to eat regular food(i.e. not fast food), but don’t want to pay too much, and are OK with eating cold food. They have a few substantial salads(not the regular grass-salad). I like their fruit, nut and chicken salads. They make sandwiches, paninis and pizza as well. Most of their items are already packed and ready to go, like in a supermarket, which is time-saving and convenient. They make thin-crust pizza, but you have to wait 10 – 15 minutes for that. Pizza is really good, and low on carbs and calories. Their food is tasty and not oily. The service is friendly with a little«personalization» touches like thanking you by your first name if you pay by credit/debit card. This sets D’Amico apart as a low-stress friendly place with healthier food and better service for a little bit more. If that sounds like your cup of tea, give it a shot. They have many locations in the Twin Cities Area, including one in Downtown Minneapolis.

From Wayzata to the airport to any of their other locations, there is nothing like a D’Amico for a quick bite that feels much more substantial and deluxe. The salads, sandwiches, and soups are all great and since it is quick, I can even bring my young daughter. Nice! And those cloth napkins, they are a great touch and perfect for wiping up her spills.
