History

Established in 1999.

Brazos River Trees began growing trees in 1999 and has been delivering and planting trees since 2002. We sell, deliver and plant trees from 2″ caliper and approximately 8′ tall to 6 ½″ caliper and approximately 18′ tall. Live Oak, Shumard Red Oak, Bur Oak, Chinese Pistachio, Bradford Pear, Desert Willow, Vitex and Crape Myrtle are available.

Business Owner

Denise Spitler and John Wessler, owners and managers of Brazos River Trees, moved to the Brazos River ranch in 1997 where John created Brazos River Trees in 1999. Denise, a cowgirl at heart, currently manages Brazos River Trees. Denise spent over two decades in the business community in Fort Worth as a CPA, primarily in financial management. Denise spent 10 years as a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Fort Worth Star Telegram and served on various community boards and committees. Denise was the first woman Chairperson of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce in 1997 and 1998. John and Denise also own a customer service marketing company in Fort Worth that Denise created in 2002 and John currently manages.
