History

Established in 2006.

Academic Insight LLC assists students with college admissions and financial aid counseling: exploration, development, positioning, application, college affordability, and transition. Lisa brings her passion for her work to students and provides them with professional, creative, proactive, and low-​stress admissions counseling.

Lisa brings both school counseling and marketing expertise to her practice. Before embarking on her career in college and financial aid counseling, Lisa owned and operated a market research company. After leaving the market research field, Lisa entered the admissions profession as the Assistant Director of Admission at Becker College (MA), worked in admissions at The Andrew’s School (OH), was the Director of The Center for Financial Aid Resources at Cleveland State University, and served as a college and financial aid counselor with the Cleveland Scholarship Programs.

Business Owner

Lisa earned a Master of Education degree from the Cleveland State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity College. She is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). Lisa is a past Board member of A Better Chance and was the college counselor for the Simsbury ABC House. She conducts free financial aid workshops at the Simsbury Public Library. She regularly visits colleges campuses where she meets with admissions officers, academic deans, and students to gain an insider’s view of campus life.
