Sandwiches were amazing and the food was prepared quickly. The only comments were the size of the restaurant(built more for take out than eating in) and the semi-nude pictures in the men’s restroom. If I had brought my 2 young sons, I know one would have had to use the restroom and I would not want to have that conversation with them at this age. All in all, I will definitely eat there again, but maybe more as a take-out than eat-in.

I love this little sandwich shop. The owner is the nicest guy on the planet. The Italian sub is the best around!

Their meatball sub is awesome. I haven’t tried their cold meat hoagies(yet) but I will. The cheesesteak sandwich and the sausage & pepper & onion subs were very light on the meat and HEAVY on the onions. They were practically a sauteed onion sandwich!

I haven’t had their subs in a while but I loved their Philly cheesesteak, it was always hot and fresh and I loved those little peppers on the top. If I go back to that side of town I’ll definitely for a sandwich!

I am in Webster for a week on business. After searching for a place to grab a good sandwich I came across Antonini’s. My first trip I had to try their cheesesteak. I have had some of the best cheesesteaks in and around Philly, and believe me, this sandwich can hold its own with the best of them. While the roll wasn’t and Amoroso roll, it was from a local Italian bakery and stood up to the steak, cheese and veggies. To be honest with you, the sandwich was so overstuffed, the added veggies were falling out as I was having my lunch. I would probably recommend minimizing items other than steak, cheese, and onions. However, I must say that the hot pepper relish that they serve is an absolute must all sandwiches. After speaking with the owner, he said the steak sub and the Italian were subs 1 and 1A. So on my next visit I had to order the Italian. It was completely over stuffed with delicious meats and vegetables. This was a fantastic sandwich and satisfied me in every way. The staff takes great pride in the quality of their product and I highly recommend visiting Antonini’s for your next sandwich. If this place were any closer to me I would weigh 15 pounds more than I do now. Absolutely love this place. Great service, great food, and great people.

This is my absolute favorite sub shop. Ever. You like cold sandwiches? Get the Italian. Want a hot sandwich? Grab the cheese steak. I walked in one day when I lived in the area and was blown away. The flavor is awesome, the size is enormous, and the price is very fair, at around $ 10 bucks for a large(which is more like huge). The peppers make the sandwich unique, something you wont get anywhere else. I now drive a half hour for these subs. It also helps that the owner is an awesome guy who will bullshit about life with you while he makes your sub and is genuinely appreciative of you business. Do yourself a favor and skip subway and go get a sub here!

This place is pretty darn awesome. I have been looking for a decent sandwich shop since moving to this area and my fiancée and I decided to give it a try and we are very glad we did. The shop is located in a strip mall near the hospital. It was a little difficult to find, even with GPS. Basically it is on the same side of Galveston HWY as the hospital, but across the street. Hope that helps some of yall trying to find it! When you walk in, it is a typically old school Italian sub shop. There is memorabilia all on the walls and about 6 tables in the entire place. I can see where it may be hard to find a table when it gets busy. Their menu is a little small, but it has all of the traditional favorites. We decided to split the Italian combo. Along side the sandwich we got some Zapps crawtators and a coke. I think the total was about $ 12, a little pricey for the combination. The sandwich was made then and was ready in about 4 minutes. I couldn’t believe the size of the thing. It was about 9″ long and packed with goodies… ham, salami, provolone, etc. in addition, there is lettuce, tomato, a spicy pickled relish… smelled great. Once you get it folded in your hand and take a bite, it is so good. The bread is perfect for this type of sandwich, not too crunchy but not too soft. I ate the half of sandwich and was not terribly full, but not hungry at all. My fiancée ate only half of hers and we took the rest home. Overall, a great little sandwich place. The food was excellent. I do feel that the price was a little on the high side, but what can you do about that. I would definitely go back if I was around that area for lunch.

Just ate lunch here today and the philly isn’t all that good, it has great potential but is seriously lacking in seasoning. If you are going to try this place out, try the italian sub, that is legitimate.

Definitely tell it’s a small business owner establishment. Very friendly and not bad. But honestly the philly wasn’t that great. I couldn’t even finish it. Just a 6inch. They need to change cheese and bread for this to taste better.

One word: BLAND. The wife and I stopped in and ordered one 12″ meatball and one 12″ Philly cheese; both to go, both very bland. The meatball was just the meat and sauce. I couldn’t really taste either one, but at least it was palatable. The Philly, however, was a disaster. That sandwich was ATLEAST50% onions, probably more. Every bite was a struggle, as it just treated like i was eating a mouthful of warm, soggy, oily, bland onions. No taste to the meat or cheese, or to the mushrooms we added. We will not be back. As an addendum, I called Antonini’s last week(at 715 pm) to place this exact order for pickup. I was told they were closed, which confused me since their website says 8 pm. The man on the phone informed me that their Texas City location was the one open until 8, and proceeded to talk over me when I had more questions. Google does not have the hours of operation for this location, and Antonini’s does not differentiate between the two stores on their website. It simply says they close at 8 pm. Even with the rude person on the phone and the off-putting exchange I wanted to try this place because of all the great reviews. Never again.

If your in the mood for a great sub, you need to try Antonini’s if your ever in the area! Great little place in the strip center off of Highway 3 behind the Lakeside MRI building. Mike, the owner came down here from Delaware and opened his first location on NASA Rd.1. That has probably been over twenty five years ago. He has since moved to this current location in Webster. I have had, I think almost everything on the menu Sub wise! I have never had a bad sandwich here! I started with the Italian Sub which you can’t go wrong with. I’ve also had the Philly Cheese steak, the Meatball, The Turkey, and the Roast Beef. The Road Beef is absolutely Tops with the Turkey a close second!!! I love the Red Pepper relish they use on their sandwiches! The Roast Beef is cooked by them they’re selves. It is cooked Rare and is really the best Roast Beef Sub I’ve ever had to date!!! I get it all the way with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, red pepper relish, mayo, and oil and vinegar. It’s fantastic!!! I urge you try it, you won’t be let down! But, the other sandwiches are all worth a try too!!! My second choice on the menu is the Turkey. It’s very good itself! I haven’t tried the sausage and pepper sub yet, but I! will first chance I get! I will add that they have a selection of chips and bottled soft drinks. I would like to see both locations add fountain Cokes!!! I like the idea of having my drinks over ice! So if your ever in the area drop in and give them a try!

If you’re a fan of the $ 5 Footlong Ranchy Bacum Bologna Melt, this might not be the sub shop for you. This is one mean sammie. How have I never been here before?! Oh, because it’s tiny and unassuming and hidden and closes at 7 pm.. . FINDIT. Do yourself a favor and get here, ASAP. Seriously. He’s been doing this for 20 years and you can tell. We walked in 15 til 7 and were greeted warmly. After asking about the menu a bit we found out the meatballs are made in house. OK2 large meatball subs it is! I’ve never been to Antonini’s before, but I remember these meatballs. I’ve tasted them before. Every Christmas, my adopted bro’s Roman Italian grandmother would make mason jars upon jars of red sauce with a big fat meatball in each jar and mail him a case of the jars. I was lucky enough to have some on occasion. This sub was so good, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten anything so quickly in my life. I feel like I should tell you something about the sauce being good or that the bread was fresh or that there’s a nice amount of provolone melty underneath keeping your bread from going soggy but not of that matters because.. . meatballs. Next time I go, I’m gonna try a 6 inch Italian(and a 6 inch meatball) and then after that a cheese steak probably.. .(and a meatball). ..

The best Italian sub/hoagie I have eaten in Houston in the last 20 years. The sandwich shop is in a strip center and is easy to miss. It is worth making the effort to find. It has become my «go to» sub shop.

Gosh, to be so far from the other reviewers. Oh, well… I’ve gotten a meatball and two Philly cheesesteak hoagies here. The meatball was okay, not excellent not bad. The two cheesesteaks were not for me. I got the first one about an year ago. I thought maybe it as a fluke so I tried another — it was the same. Both were generous and tasty, but they were stringy. Strings of something run through the meat that are like rubber bands making the meat chewy and tough. I call this stringy because I don’t know what else to call it. I run into it off and on with sliced beef, but apparently it’s consistent here. I won’t be back. I’ve Eaten Out Every Meal for 25 years Take-out in this case

From Philly. Wanted to see how authentic it is, seems legit except if you don’t want hot peppers don’t ask for the whole shabang This place is great, seems like a family owned restaurant. Extremely informal, they don’t even notice that we were eating without paying for it. However maybe that’s how it works, you first eat then pay. I am from out of town so … That’s my excuse :)

Delaware? Italian Subs? I’m sure you’re shaking your head, but for those of us who’ve traveled I-95 more than few times, you realize that the D is a stones throw form Philly. And Philly is has at least 3 noteworthy sandwiches courtesy of hungry N. Easterners and folks running Legitimate businesses. Getting here — A breeze, it’s right off Highway 3. Pawking — There’s not a whole lot going on in this private lot, so you’ll find parking pretty easy. That being said, right in front of the shop is a 30 minute limit parking spot. I’m not exactly sure how well they enforce it, but I’m not trying to risk it. Duh Am-bee-Anz — If you’re shop teacher decided to say to hell with it I’m opening a sandwich shop, this is what it would look like. There’s a pegboard with tools in the back of the shop, and the walls are lined with golf and other sports memorabilia. Soi-viss — The youngsta working the register and the sandwich line informed me that he was going to wash his hands before he even moved in the direction of the kitchen. It’s not even something I would think of to ask about, or wrinkle my nose up — but he wanted to make it clear that they run a surgically clean operation.(there is a medical supply store next door? Maybe he pulls a double duty). Impressive. And as I ordered my grub, I let him know I was gonna grab a Soda(Sunkist makes CHERRYLIMEADE? OHWOWMEWANTS) and some chips, he was like, dont’t worry about it, I”ll charge you at the end of the meal. Da Men-hugh — If you’re looking for a full panoply of salumeria choices, you might have to drive uptown cause this ain’t that kinda party. They had a number of hot subs on the menu, including a cheesesteak and a meatball sandwich(although I don’t know if it was a meatball parm for my red sauce fanatics). I went with the Italian grinder. 3 – 4 diferent kinds of meat, including 2 kinds of ham I believe, and a 2 kinds of sausage. Lettuce, Tomato, mmm Onion, and sliced/chopped Cherry Peppers. I believe some sharp provolone snuck in there as well doused with just the right amount of vinegar, oregano, and oil. *channels inner Paisano* Mangia, Mangia, Mangia! I’d ordered the full option, and they didn’t skimp on a thing. This thing could have easily fed 2 accountants! Possibly 1.61803398875 mathematicians. Chips and drink + full sandwich = 12 bucks. A half sammie would probably sneak you under 10sky for lunch. If you’ve got a hankering for a hoagie, a this grinder will have you grinning.
