I have lived in the Bradford since July 2015. The apartment itself is in need of renovation — it is outdated and run down. There are rust stains in my sink that I cannot get out, and the tile work/grout in the bathtub is awful. The drywall is damaged and cracking, and the floors must be very thin because I can hear my upstairs neighbors doing EVERYTHING. The closet doors in both bedrooms are constantly coming off their guides and are obviously cheaply made. The ceilings are low, which makes it feel cramped in the bathroom. The living area is poorly lit and the only«window» in the entire living space is the sliding glass door to the patio. However, it is spacious and the patio is screened in, which is nice. The maintenance has always been attentive and relatively quick. We did wait 3 days to have our kitchen light changed(it is one of those long fluorescent bulbs you have to special order), which was a pain. Parking can be awful, especially at night. People resort to parking in weird spots that aren’t meant to be parked in, which can really congest the driving area around the complex. I have not been able to successfully program the gate code for guests, despite trying for 6+ months. I have asked for assistance repeatedly and not been helped. The management is poor. We recently ran into an issue with a bill in which we were unjustly charged $ 100 more than we were supposed to be charged for a prorated rent amount, and the manager would not do anything about it — she blamed it on the corporate office. There are a few nice leasing agents but the people with the actual power to fix things are difficult to interact with and can be quite rude. The managers are almost always«busy» when I stop by to discuss issues, and when I leave my name and phone number, they NEVER call back. This has happened several times. The management has changed since we moved in, and they have added things to our bill that are not in our lease several times. For example, valet trashed was added at a cost of almost $ 25 – 30 per month, without our consent or desire to have it. Our water bill runs high every month, at about $ 90 for a 3 person unit. It seems like every month we lived here got more and more expensive. I would NOT recommend living here.

We moved in near the end of August and are halfway through November now. We got a great deal on rent, so we jumped on it, snagging the medium-sized one bedroom. Parking isn’t terrible, our neighbors are all friendly, my boyfriend loves the 24 hour gym, the pool was great(closed for the cold at the moment though!). As for the apartment itself, it’s a pretty good size, the kitchen is ridiculously spacious, the living room is well-lit from the windows during the day, nice walk-in closet, stays pretty cool inside even on hot days without having the turn the temperature down too far on the thermostat! So far we haven’t had any maintenance issues and I’d prefer to keep it that way, haha. They recently started doing trash pick up from your front door 5 nights a week, so there’s another plus. Overall, so far, it’s been a great, safe experience and I’d highly recommend the complex.

I’ve been a resident at the Bradford for about a year on the Point side. While I’ll be leaving to go live closer to town, I’ve definitely enjoyed my time here. Here’s my take: Pros: –Good location. Close to I-45 and all your local neighborhood necessities. Groceries, home repair and Specs are all about 5 minutes away. –Friendly office staff. I had an issue with my electricity bill and(after a little confusion) the office staff took it and ran with it. I was fully compensated for the issue and felt like it was resolved extremely professionally. Blanca, one of the leasing agents took the time to know me by name and was always friendly and very helpful. Makes a big difference! –After a(lot) of research, I think The Bradford is a great value for the area. My apartment was not«updated» but I felt like I got a very reasonable rent for the square footage. –Quiet, and in my experience, safe. I’ve had absolutely no problems with obnoxious neighbors or loud music. No issues with security. Cons: –Unfortunately, I did have some bug problems. I shared my apartment with the small German roaches many other Houstonites are probably familiar with. With the help of some bug bombs and a clean kitchen they were more an annoyance than anything else, but the pest control guys didn’t make a dent. This may have been unique to my building, but those little guys aren’t going anywhere. –Parking — it can fill up fast. If you haven’t got the budget for an assigned parking spot and you regularly arrive home later than five, don’t plan on getting something close. I believe there are visitor spots, but they’re(very) few and far between. Overall, I had a positive experience at the Bradford and I’d recommend them to a friend. Maintenance was hardly ever required and was prompt when it was.

As far as apts go, The Bradford is a good deal for nice, quality living. I moved in Sept 2009& out Nov 2013. I recommend The Bradford as an overall complex. Maintenance was pretty good, especially when I had to discuss with the maintenance manger Eric. He was very helpful and nice. I always felt safe here, I lived on the Place side(same side of Buoy as the office). I noticed a lot more crime occurred on the Pointe side. My years at The Bradford were good ones.
